A lot of differences in opinion as to how this quest progresses.
Interested to hear an official word as my clan mates and I are getting frustrated as to how slow this thing is moving

I am reading/comprehending....you on the other hand are not! Most of those replies are from me (1 person) who knows how the progression worked for last season & this season. LAST SEASON....with the boosters you got 4-8 points per activity. So it was 1%-2% towards progress. THIS SEASON...since we don’t have boosters you only get 1-2 (as the boosters was a 4x modifier). So it’s.25%-.5% per activity.

Actually it was you who wrote this... "This season, we still get the 4-8 points of progress but weapon doesn’t need to be equipped." but then I read more replies by you saying something about .25% per activity. <----- I hope this is not right!!!

Damn...do you take things out of context & not read! That is referring to this seasons weapon/catalyst (Symmetry) as OP was talking about this seasons progression being much quicker. Here....let me break it down for you! [u]Eriana’s Vow[/u] Last season....4-8 points (of 400 total) per activity with gun equipped & boosters. This season...1-2 points per activity since we don’t have boosters. [u]Symmetry[/u] Last season....non-existent. This season....4-8 points (of 400 total) per activity with boosters irregardless of gun being equipped. Next season...unknown, but likely back to 1-2 points per activity. Is that better for you??????

Whatever man, sorry I am getting you worked up but you had the OP confused as well thinking that he had to do "1600 missions?!?" without caring about last season or symmetry - plain and simple... 1 point per strike, crucible 2 points per gambit match If catalyst is not progressing, make sure you actually have the quest in the quest tab. Think I got it, thanks for all the info

The 1600 is if you start from 0 and don't use the weapon. But if you use the weapon you get 1 progress. I was struggling to understand what happened to the 1 progress when I don't use it. Because this was still a thing at the beginning of the season. But maybe that was a bug. And I guess bungie just wants to punish players that they didn't do a mission in time and now you have to work four times more to get it done because no multipliers. And get no "passive" progression. Or get maybe 0,25 points progress if you don't use it.
