Eriana's Vow Catalyst mission Progress
Not sure if working as intended or if this is reported.
At first the you had to do 100 missions (crusable, strikes, gambit or the vex thing) to get the catalyst.
Then they changed it to 400 but maked it so that if you use it in these events it goes up by 4 or just do it it goes up by 1.
Now you only make progress if you wield the weapon in an event and progress gained is one.
If you do not wield it you get no progress.. So you just made 4 times more difficult to get...
I sincerely hope this is a bug... I got the this seasons weapon catalyst unlocked and masterworked waaaaaay faster than the vow... It also may be possible that the mission is not working properly for me. Didn't really follow the progress before this season.

Wrong! This is not a bug. It’s always been required to gain 400 points. However, last season we got to take advantage of the boosters that gave us either 4 or 8 points (depending on activity) towards progress only if you had weapon equipped. So it was only roughly 50-80 activities. Now, we don’t have this weapons boosters so we only get 1-2 points per activity (and weapon no longer needs to be equipped) to get progress. So in some ways it’s easier but in others it’s more tedious. This season, we still get the 4-8 points of progress but weapon doesn’t need to be equipped. So of course this season’s progress is gonna be somewhat quicker (but it ends up being the same as last season if you only did things last season with Eriana’s equipped).

4 回覆The way it worked last season was you needed 400 points to unlock the catalyst, and you got one point per activity when you had gun equipped. Through the season pass, you could unlock multipliers that would boost your progress up to 4x, so you could unlock the catalyst in 100 or fewer activities. This season's boosters do not apply to Eriana's Vow, so you now only get 1 point per activity. The [b][i]only[/i][/b] change that has been made to how the catalyst quest progresses is that you now get that point whether you have the gun equipped or not.

6 回覆Just throw it on and go into Scorched or Mayhem. You won't have to use it and it'll go by fastest there

8 回覆A lot of differences in opinion as to how this quest progresses. Interested to hear an official word as my clan mates and I are getting frustrated as to how slow this thing is moving

8 回覆I cannot stress this enough. The problem is that there IS NO PROGRESS IF I DO NOT USE THE WEAPON. So it would seem it is broken, at least for me. Thank you for your answers!
