Please don't make exotics that require finishers to work in pve.

I don't know about you guys, but I really don't like the exotics that require finishers in pve to do stuff. Take for example that new titan exotic I don't even care to remember the name of, it states it creates an explosion on defeating a target with a finisher but...there's not many reasons to do finishers. Some mods allow finishers to be a bit more meaningful but I really don't think there's much value in them on their own. Their useful for killing things like champions and giving people a reason to buy silver but outside of that I don't really like the mechanic. So when they create an exotic for that mechanic that i don't ever really use and it only works as an add clear exotic...you can bet your ass I'm not using it. There's some other reasons why as well. For one, it sucks even when you get it to activate. Sure it still kills things but I could just run dune marchers, synthoceps, worm god, skullfort and other exotics that will benefit my titan as a whole, all without needing some pointless mechanic to activate or the mechanic will offer a much more valuable reward in its place. Even in pvp it's a piece of crap because the splash damage radius on it is so bad. Like it CAN do a lot of damage, but it isn't consistent, like most splash damage tools. Dune marchers just need me to kiss a guardian with my fist and up to 3 people will get shocked for a consistent 80 or so damage in a long radius. If you are going to make these stupid exotics, at least make it useful like the hunter's exotic. Health and invisibility is a pretty good bonus for killing a target with a finisher. Getting an explosion and that's it is pretty underwhelming. If I were to buff it with that stupid mechanic in mind, I would first make it so that the damage minimum is fixed and the damage maximum is higher so that the explosion damage is more consistent but also more valuable. Then maybe finishing a target with your finisher grants damage resistance for 5 seconds so that if you did it in a bad position you can use this to more comfortably escape. Like 20% in pve and 10% in pvp. I really don't like it when bungie just throws out these stupid gimmick exotics. Sure it's cool the first time around, but when half of the exotics you get do the same job and they just pump out even worse ones time after time, you can bet I'll get salty. I know the other classes have these too and I highly doubt people were throwing money at the screen for vesper radius and mechaneers trick sleeves. The number of melee exotics titans get needs to end at some point...

  • Dude you gotta chill a little, you could sum all of that up in one 5 sentence paragraph, as for your point, you gotta realise that there’s exotics for literally everything now so obviously they need to do one for the only new mechanic as everything else is covered, but yea it sucks, it’s just meant to be a fun one and it’s not as good as they thought so they’ll buff it soon, and that last comment, Titans are kinda melee focused lol but there’s still loads of exotics for other things. We have boots that reload smgs instantly
