since the fated engram would be obtainable other ways I think this would give Xur a nice upgrade

Nah. They need to stay locked behind the hardest and most tedious activity so that only 6% of the player base can enjoy endgame. That’s how you make a fun and rewarding experience. You don’t include the masses so you can have a full and thriving game. That’s foolish.

Xur is designed for new players to get exotics or veteran to get exotics they're missing. That's all

I think he should only have ascendant shards and a limit of 1 purchase per week account wide. Enhancement prisms are reasonably easy to come across already.

I feel like almost no one realizes that if you grind, you get a bunch of Enhancement cores through Clan XP. Hawthorne hands them out like candy; I don't even play terribly often and I have shitloads of them. Just start and register a one man clan lol

This is what we need from Xur. Change the price for all armor from 23 legendary shards to 50. Next make sure that Xur only sells armor with 57+ stat rolls all of which are based upon RNG. Allow players to purchase the same armor multiple times each time at RNG'ESUS discretion. This makes Xur useful again and the community will spend time grinding for shards because this will be the only viable way to get Exotic armor with strong stat rolls. While you're at it remove affinity from all exotic armor pieces.

According to the spiders prices, one masterwork core = 10 legendary shards which means 1 ascendant golf ball from xur = 1000 legendary shards
