Dear Bungie, Hello there, I would like to present you the first game that says to me almost every time in the middle of pvp game - "disconected, because of the connection problems". I'm so tired of this, that every single time when I do well, it kicks me just because. I know that I have bad internet, and it is slow, but if on my screen everything is alright, and the game just says that it's not. It only started 2 weeks ago, before that time I've had great times, sometimes I was pingy, but at least I could somewhat play the game I bought(Bought Forsaken). Today I even got a message where it said that "If your connection problems are not fixed, then we are going to disconnect you from pvp modes". Well I know that you have just splitted up from Activision, and having some problems, but why is This happening? It's just sad Bungie. Such a great game, such sweet graphics, so many content, and that's what you hit me with? Also I've had several times when it disconnected me from the game just before it started, and then even gave me a ban for 12 hrs. Nothing has happened like this before. And now try to do pvp quests, when 2/3 games you are just thrown out into a trash can. Thanks for reading, and(as I hope) help.
Good News! Bungie uses P2P for their game, so servers are rarely an issue
Run the latency test at testmy.net: https://testmy.net/latency Click the icon with the eye on it to run all the tests back to back. Watch what the line graphs are doing. If they are continually spiking really high and you keep getting high deviation numbers, then you may have a latency/jitter problem for your ISP to investigate. Each of the individual test graphs will note the address it tested, so you can look closer at that particular route (run traces and such)... sometimes a certain exchange point is a common denominator they can look at. There is another batch ping test you can run at dslreports.com for extra comparison as well: http://www.dslreports.com/tools/pingtest Yes, I know many of the test locations are a long way away and the core latency will be too high for the game... what you are testing for is the consistency of the latency. If there is too much jitter or packet loss, the game will boot you. Also need to make sure your local network is in line with Bungie's network guide: https://www.bungie.net/en/Support/Troubleshoot?oid=12915
