what is up with destiny today?

constant "contacting destiny2 server" messages.. anteater, baboon and weasel errors.. .. i dont typically complaint but shit man... with the amount of money you guys made with this game.. it is time to spend some resources and better your network infrastructure.. jesus

  • There has been recurring regionally focused routing issues across the internet the last few weeks for sure. Been especially bad for Comcast subscribers across the US. Level3/Century Link in particular has been having issues on the west coast s well. One important area is Seattle (Bungie is just east of there in Bellevue). Level3 is Bungie's primary peering partner, as well as a large peering partner for the mainstream ISP's. Basically, this could very well be an issue for the relevant ISP's to address. Run the latency test at testmy.net: https://testmy.net/latency Click the icon with the eye on it to run all the tests back to back. Watch what the line graphs are doing. If they are continually spiking really high and you keep getting high deviation numbers, then you may have a latency/jitter problem for your ISP to investigate. Each of the individual test graphs will note the address it tested, so you can look closer at that particular route (run traces and such)... sometimes a certain exchange point is a common denominator they can look at. There is another batch ping test you can run at dslreports.com for extra comparison as well: http://www.dslreports.com/tools/pingtest Yes, I know many of the test locations are a long way away and the core latency will be too high for the game... what you are testing for is the consistency of the latency. If there is too much jitter or packet loss, the game will boot you.     • Same here. I've been getting baboon, centipede, and weasel on my Xbox One. I don't usually have internet problems but I don't see many people complaining about it online.
