The phenotype plasticity is a reskin of the Substitutional armor. You're going to get a reskin regardless, and the current Raid armor is more aesthetically similar to the Raid boss. ... What's so clustercluck about it? All you do is send a team of 2 through one portal to gather motes while the 4 deal with 1 Cyclops, then when they come back the next team goes through. You do some repairs if necessary, break some shields, take care of the cyclops. Then when returning you set up to do Tether, with both team at their respective sides. One side completes it, while the other side is in position then you do it again. Boss damage then repairs. Also, kill Angelics when they spawn which is fairly easy when you have snipers and anti-barrier rounds. It's basically just clockwork. It's less complicated than CoS.

  • The Raid armor is a reskin of the Omega Mechanos Eververse set. The Phenotype Plasticity ornaments are a polished version of the Substitutional Alloy armor.

  • I see where you’re coming from, but to call the Phenotype Plasticity ornaments reskins is a bit of a stretch. The raid armor, on the other hand, is just an old Eververse set with some leaves and glowy bits.

  • Just compared the two sets, Substitutional alloy does look like an inferior version of Phenotype plasticity. Which I think would have made even more sense for Phenotype to be the raid set. Vex Offensive's inferior run down armour for those who prefer the 6 man matchmade activity, the shiny superior armour for those who actually persevered in the raid. As for the clustercluck comment, It's true that there isn't much in the way of mechanics, but my gripe is in the way these mechanics are implemented, which is pretty much all at once, I don't mind how many mechanics we have in an encounter, so long as they give us ample time to adjust and react without getting too daunted, Crown of sorrow also had this issue for me

That's what those two Raids have in common; they work like clockwork and require speed in execution of each mechanic. The reason you feel they are "happening all at once" is because you are taking too long to complete each one. You can literally stand in one place as a defender and shoot 2 waves of adds, wait for a Cyclops to spawn, kill it, wait for more adds to spawn, kill them, rebuild a platform with no enemies around, wait for another wave to spawn, kill it, wait for cyclops, kill it, etc. One step at a time, as long as you complete each step in a timely fashion. Just let the mote teams handle shooting the portals open.
