Bad Performance (Low FPS) on a good rig
Been playing for 6 days and for the past 5 days I've been having poor performance i.e. constant stuttering and FPS lower than 50 in most areas (except loading screens). Deleting the CVARS file helped for one day but now it's back to the usual poor performance.
My specs are as follows:
i7-8700k OC'd to 4.8GHz
MSI RTX 2080 8GB
16GB DDR4 RAM 3200MHz
MSI Z370 PRO CARBON MOTHERBOARD
Windows 10 Build 17763

I have a decent setup too Gygabyte gtx 980ti Intel i7 7700k 16gb 3200 ram When destiny relaunched on steam I was playing on 1440p high setting with a really smooth frame rate 60+ at least it was using 2.5gb of my 6.0gb gpu vram and I was quite happening playing at least 2-3 hours a day for a solid week and a half. Then bam! My game went black crashed my pc and I had to hard reset it. Jumping back on destiny my frame rates were low and very stuttery going from choppy to smooth I was like what Open tasked manager 98-100% gpu usage I was like what the hell and after 30 minutes it crashes my pc again. It been a week now and I can’t play destiny for my than 30 minutes I’ve done about everything I can look up and nothing seems to fix it

2 回覆I have a similar setup and had the same issues. I was using the GeForce Experience optimized setting and it was changing my resolution to 4k (DSR) on a 1440p monitor. The frame rate went down and it was stuttering on one of my two 1440p monitors. So, maybe check to see if the GeForce Experience has changed you resolution. Then change it back.

1 回覆I have a very similar setup. I also experiencing very poor performance and stuttering. Never had this problem before switching to Steam. Changing settings between highest and lowest made no difference. 0 problems with other games. All drivers and BIOS up to date. I7-8700k Gigabyte z390 16gb ddr4 3200 EVGA 2080 Windows 10 17763

3 回覆There has been times when my FPS dropped too but it was usually cause there was alot of enemies or alot of explosions and stuff was happening It's pretty common on vex offensive, menagerie and other modes with alot of enemies AND allies

I'm having a constant stutter when moving around, makes ADS horrible. If I stand still everything looks fine, but when I move it looks like crap. No dropped frames or anything, just no smoothness. Other games run fine, as usual. Just D2 I have this issue with.
