The end of Destiny?

Though the game might stick around and keep its head above water; In all intensive purposes I believe it is at its end. The numbers yesterday were so abysmal that they hit Curse of Osiris lows! https://destinytracker.com/ It is a frustrating game in a frustrating state right now. With the turnover from partnership with Activision to sole proprietor it has struggled to find its identity. However I can’t put all blame on them. The community is frustrating! The only feedback you see is about enhancement cores anymore and that isn’t very productive for anyone. With the population numbers where they are at, I don’t even believe DLC’s can bring back a good amount of them. The question is; Have they lost the community though? Only the community can decide on that, but it does look that way. They need to make their decision as players though. If you are done with the game, then be done with it! Don’t live on the forums and complain about a game you don’t play or even like anymore. Show Bungie you are done with them. The company is being way to quiet about this fall. Obviously we are getting Season of Opulence here soon (let’s be honest and not get our hopes too high for it). Review wise most people say Season of the Drifter was lackluster and repetitive. Gambit Prime was cool for a second, but I believe regular Gambit was more enjoyable overall. The Reckoning was not well received (Not 100% sure why but I’m assuming drop rates of gear). The lore has been great this season, but that can’t sustain an entire season. Thorn was a disappointment and Spectral Blades continued to run rampant across the Crucible (Not a big deal for me, but PLENTY of people hated it). Now, where does the company go from here? As we all know Destiny 3 is in the works and slated for Fall of 2020; But how many people will actually buy the game? Even if it’s a next gen launch title I believe they have hurt enough people they will get on of the other few launch titles. We know Bungie is working on another IP at the same time, but even that is going to be a hard sell for me. I once loved Destiny and still want too, but they are making it too hard to love it now. I am not considered an expert nor do I get paid to do game reviews and analysis. So if you disagree then that is to be expected because I can’t speak for everyone. All I can see is the numbers dropping, raising slightly for DLC’s, and then dropping even farther. If you still love Destiny as much as I used to then that’s GREAT! Play what you love. I will continue to play the game for the few fun moments I get, but will no longer hold my breath or expect to enjoy it as I once did.
