Is it possible to create a city in No Man’s Sky?

Like if there was one planet and many players were on that planet working together create a city by using the base creator system to cover an area with shared structures? Imagine 100 players on the planet that came from a portal.

  • Cool theory, but I think you’re describing Minecraft. No man’s sky was great in theory, absolutely boring and terribly designed in practice.

  • Been a while since I played no mans sky, but I believe there was a group called the intergalactic hub. They have a whole chunk of space colonized and have thousands of members. There is a subreddit of the same name that has the information on how to get to the cluster, what has and hasn’t been claimed, and some other misc. information. As far as I’m aware, I believe they were starting work on the main planet in the cluster that included building a big city.

    • On PC maybe, on consoles theres a limit, even though technically there isnt a limit to how much you can build, to how much you can build in one condensed area before the game just crashes on you. I was building a pretty intricate base on my home planet and after a while the game just couldn't stay running as it became unstable and crashed literally every 5-10sec with how much I had built in that one area. I've put 90 hours into that survival play through and now its unplayable due to the game crashing every time I load in. Havent checked I'd they patched it, but I havent geen able to play that file since the visions patch. I have started over and began to build the base I wanted on the PC version without hitting the artificial limit yet.
