Theory about Upcoming Expansions
So I’m guessing everyone here has completed the base game and seen the post credits scene right? Good. I have a theory about the post credits scene. I have put it in spoilers just in case...[spoiler]When the traveler was reborn, it sent a ripple of light throughout Sol and eventually the entire Milky Way Galaxy. The interesting part about this is the order in which the places in Sol are hit by this wave of Light. Mercury, Mars, The Reef, Saturn, and then the Kyper Belt (an asteroid belt). Does the first three seem familiar? It’s the order of each of the Destiny 2 Expansions. Using this information, suppose that this is true for the other locations. What kind of Expansion would we expect? For Saturn, there are two Expansions or DLC’s we can expect: A Hive DLC probably centered around Savathûn or Xivu Arath (pardon my punctuation) on Titan or even more probable the Dreadnaught, or possibly even a DLC based around the Exos and the Deep Stone Crypt. Where? Well, One Exo (probably cayde) says it is located on a moon covered in ice. Saturn has one such moon. Either that or I got mixed up and it’s one of Mars’ moons (which would make more sense, swing that exos are BrayTech). For the Kyper Belt, if you have read up on your Lore upon the Surviving Iron Lords, you will realize that Lady Efrideet has taken up her abode there. I speculate that maybe we could see one of the Colony ships from the Exodus Project suddenly be found with the SIVA stashed inside by Rasputin, and Lady Efrideet Will once again have to clean her rifle and finish the job we began. We could even discover the true mind behind SIVA...but that is just speculation. Now for the rest of the Milky Way, I have no Earthly clue what could come from it. Tell my what do you guys think! Feel free to correct me or suggest ideas!

Considering the fact that D2 has been building up to Savathûn at every opportunity, including linking her into the storyline through the Dreaming City, I think it’s safe to say whatever comes next September will see us facing off against the schemer.

In D1 there was a Grimoire card about Jupiter even though the planet and it's moons were not present. Cayde also talked about being able to remember cold and ice in another Grimoire card. I've been a bit less sure of this since Titan, another moon of Jupiter has appeared, but Europa always seemed really important and I've always believed they'd make an expansion. The only other icy place in Destiny has been the Braytech facility on Mars.[spoiler][/spoiler] As far the pyramid or triangle ships at the end of the campaign, I always assumed they were a physical embodiment of the Darkness, just like the Traveller is the physical embodiment of the Light. This is due to the fact that there were a few D1 concept art pictures of the "Darkness" and they were identical to the pyramid ships at the end of the campaign. Also the Darkness has begun to be treated like a race, with the Hive, Taken, Vex, and possibly the Scorn worshipping it. Basically, the Traveller never woke up until now because it knew we weren't ready for what would find us if it did. The Traveller had always been described as being followed by the Darkness. Now that the Heart of the Black Garden, Atheon, Crota, Oryx, SIVA, and now Gaul (with a few other after the Traveller woke up) have all been defeated, the Traveller has finally decided we were ready to face its greatest enemy. With a force so powerful arriving in our solar system, we could see alliances with the Fallen and the Cabal as hinted at by Spider and Calus's mysterious words in the raid. The whole alliance thing could be a bit of a stretch but I think all this could be a pretty fantastic story and campaign.

It has pretty much been confirmed we are returning to the Dreadnaught. The final cutscene is a roadmap of the game and the beginning of D3, or a surprise 5th expansion (unlikely). There is also currently (Or was) a glitch where if you fast travel to your friend while they are running a Titan heroic adventure, the Dreadnaught theme will play while flying in, and show a glitched out version on Saturn.

4 回覆<That's not necessarily confirmed to be the Kuiper Belt, as we don't actually know how far that is from the Sun. That being said, if the City does indeed get -blam!-ing NUKED in D3, Efrideet and her group could play a significant role.>
