[RANT]One step forward, two steps back? The Destiny experience...

Is it just me or these "improvements" that come with Forsaken and new season, are more miss than hits? Lets look at it: >Weapons: + Instead of mods we can "choose" a path for the upgrade of our weapons, cool - random rolls are back (yey! not..) but still no proper crafting system in sight -- Put those two together and notice that when you actually get a good perk roll, the weapon comes with a mod applied that you can't remove and put the one you want... whose great idea was that? >Armor: -+ Random rolls but with rolls that actually feel usefull, not so bad but still no crafting system - removed ornaments to change the look of some ugly looking spiky arms (looking at you Crucible arms) -- Same as weapons, they tend to come with a mod installed that we can't replace! >Armor and Weapons upgrade cost in masterwork cores is stupid high but with any (lots of) chance you might get one already levelled up with the actual mod you want to use... fat chance! > Collections: so far, probably the best thing Bungie did since Halo… convenient, almost intuitive to use (seriously, who thought that that side scroll thing to move pages was intuitive or practical? I keep trying to use the A D to move pages just to change something else altogether!) > Shaders: Good news! We can get whatever shader we have already found before straight from our collection in exchange for some glimmer, shard or dust. Bad news, remember those hundreds of ugly shaders you still have with you? Well at least you can delete them 5 at a time… again, seriously, why are shaders still a thing that you pile up? Why can't we just have a library of shaders (like a collection or something… oh, wait we now have one) and pay to apply on whatever item we have straight on without the hurdle of having to go through the inventory and most likely look on the vault because we have so many!? Honestly sometimes Destiny feels more like an inventory management game than anything else. > Xur: lets remove the Fated Engram! It was a terrible idea (said someone over at Bungie). > Bounties: why are those back? Were we missing reasons to go to the tower and watch the loading screen a few more times? The system before was so nice: you go the activity, challenges are there already! No unnecessary trips to the tower required... but I guess that is the reason they are gone. Also, WHY can we just track one item at a time?! > Tower: I hate the tower... it would be so much better to have it as 2D menu where you just move the mouse around to go from vendor to vendor... at least I wouldn't find myself prepetuallly listenning to Claudia Black talking how she gave a thumbs up to someone (you ruined Claudia Black for me! How will I ever watch SG-1 again? Or Farscape?!). Also, no loading screens! At least add some quick travel points to both side wings... > Engrams: excellent job on having legendary engrams auto open on pick up. Saves me a few trips. Now my biggest gripes with the game: >> Please make it optional having to complete the campaign again with a new characther... its barely fun doing it the first time. I really would like to play around with the Titan on Mars and Venus but I can't go through the "story" again... I keep feeling that I inadvertly joined a cult. >> Can we have just the "Armor" section of the loadout be character specific? And have the weapon part common to all characthers - I mean with this that the weapons would be shared accross all characthers without having to go to the vault drop them and again to pick them up... it would help a lot with the feeling that this is a inventory management game. Thanks for reading... and I did say this was a rant. PS: forgot to add about the future of Iron Banner… so now that level will matter again, anyone without Forsaken will be getting the short stick: lower level, no new supers, mostly no new guns. That should be fun for someone I guess. Regards, A Frustrated Player.
