Critique of Destiny 2 (Need advice on hunter class!)

Greetings, hello, and welcome Destiny 2 fans. I am looking for some help. Mostly help in improving in gameplay and help on grasping the concepts of the higher level skills involved in the game. I have been producing youtube videos on Destiny 2 and Destiny for a while now and am looking to get advice to make my series more informed. If you have any tips please let me know! Any advice is welcome! Most importantly I am looking for advice on how to best utilize the hunter class. From current meta to best build to have on them. Thanks, Rock Hunter

Rule 1 of Hunters in PvE: Keep moving, keep alive. As hunters, we can’t put up walls or healing rifts to make our locations safer. If we are in a dangerous place, then our only option is to find a safer place. Therefore, we must always be aware of our positioning. If you are not in a safe place, then get to one. If you can get to a better location with some new sight lines, then do it. The enemies can’t hurt what they can’t hit, and since their aim is worse (and slightly predictable) against moving targets, use that to your advantage. Tips to improve mobility: 1. Make your jump Better Control. I can’t stress this enough. You can be strafing to the right while firing and then jump right and double jump left. Doing sudden changes in direction like this makes the enemies bullets stay behind your movement. Also, you can parkour quicker. With this jump you can move in two straight lines, as opposed to the curve of Triple Jump. As an example, if you are backed up into a wall, you can jump away from it, and then jump towards it to climb it in a flash. Also, you can test jumps. If you sprint and jump off of a ledge, you can land back on it if you jump backwards even after you’ve gone a decent distance. You can’t do this very easily with the other jumps. Also, you kill any momentum you originally had. This makes those Taken shield guys that knock you away, as well as any boss ground slam, utterly useless against you. Often what I would do is jump up, get the knockback, and then immediately jump forward and shotgun the enemy in the face a few times. Most knockback attacks have a short period of time after the enemy uses it where they become vulnerable. With this jump you can punish them for it. 2. Understand the moving revive technique. If your ally is down and their ghost is under fire, you can still resurrect them fairly safely. One way of doing this is to sprint towards them and slide when you get close. Once you are within range start reviving them. After the slide start backing up. After you back up past their ghost your ally should be revived so it’s now time to get the f*ck out of there however you see fit. You could dodge, sprint and immediately slide again, or double jump. Or all of the above. Since Better Control gives you an immediate speed boost, it is a fairly reliable tool for escaping. And because you moved so much during the revive, most enemy fire will miss you, and reviving your ally will give you enough extra health to get to safety. With this sliding revive technique you will change both your height and your position just enough to do the deed and leave. However, if there is not too much danger, simply moving erratically will suffice. 3. Know when to retreat. We hunters can’t immediately save ourselves from a dangerous situation that easily, so we must know when we need to retreat. Understand what enemies are around you and how much damage they can deal to make the decision whether or not to push forward, hold position, reposition, or retreat. And if you need to be somewhere else then use as many evasive maneuvers as you deem necessary to dodge the incoming fire so that you can get there safely.
