Could it be that the Ending of Forsaken is the intro of the "evil traveller" storyline?
At first, this Post contains spoilers about the Forsaken Story and the dreaming City, so if you don't want to get spoilerd, please don't open the post below and leave this thread.
So, in the Forsaken Soty is the dreaming city (Imo) like a different prison for a bigger threat than the darkness. The Chimera we fought, proves it. A creature, forget by light and darkness. An abomination, with tentancles and taken powers.
Uldren at the end also asked us about, how we know that we stand on the right side of this galactical war between the traveller and his old friend the darkness. So, this phrase alone is a possible spoiler about a possible story line in D3 which could show us that the traveller isn't that good guy we like. But it could also be a story line about how corrupting the darkness is.
In the cutscene our guardians asked himself for a second, "is that right, what I'm doing?", also our Ghost reminds us, that we have defeated him and don't have to kill him. At the end we still shot and killed him. But at all, if we look on the corruption of Uldren and the results (Break out of the Chimera) it could be that darkness stays the Evil guy but we see a new villuan in D3 which tries to use light and darkness, to creqte an even biger threat.
At the end, I hope Bungie don't make a turn around and gives us an "evil traveller" story line, because I would actually hate that. I, for myself, hate plot twists...
The Chimera wasn't 'forged by light and darkness'.
It was an Ahamkara brought to the Dreaming City as a baby by Uldren Sov and was corrupted and trapped in the Ascendant Plane after the Taken War.
