Nightfall: Strange Terrain - Missing relics bug

Hello. I'm posing this because I couldn't personally find any information about the bug I experienced. I recently attempted doing a Nightfall strike with some of my friends and we got the Strange Terrain mission. All went well, except for the parts where we got to the relics. At the first area where you have to throw the relics we killed both the Knights and managed to throw one of the relics into the crystal, however the second relic completely disappeared. My friend said he was looking at it and it vanished as he was picking it up. No more knights spawned that would give us relics so we had to restart. Tried it again and got to the area with the Ogre boss and the four crystals. Broke one crystal, but on the second relic the same thing happened, although this time it seemed the orb rolled past the taken barrier that goes to the next area before also vanishing. No more enemies spawned again so we just gave up. Left a bit of a bad impression for our first Nightfall mission. I'm not sure if this bug is that widespread but It would be nice if it was looked into.

  • Me and a friend just did this on ps4 with good connection and the relics done the same thing over and over again it was nearly impossible to complete we decided to stop using rockets with clusters and that solved the problem

  • Ran into the same problem. Tried wiping a few times but that didn't fix it. Was two-maning it, both of our connections were OK if not fantastic.

  • Hello Guardian, Based on the nature of the issue regarding how the relics would disappear and the enemies would no longer spawn, it sounds like you were suffering a latency issue that bugged out the spawn timers. This can happen any time there is a fluctuation in you or a member of your team's connection. My fireteam and I experienced this once or twice and a full wipe at that part of the strike fixed it (so long as you are not running the Extinguish debuff, doing this will only have a minor effect on your score). I recommend giving the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Support/Troubleshoot?oid=12915]Network Troubleshooting Guide[/url] a look through to make sure that your connection is as strong as possible. If you do not believe that connectivity was the issue, or you continue to run into the issue on multiple run-throughs, I request that you take some sort of recording of it transpiring (and include PC reqs if you are playing through Battle.net) and share it here to help me and others here see where the issue happens and what else may have caused it.
