Destiny 2 made for casual players, lack of end game content

Datto kind of hit the nail on the head with his thoughts and opinions on Destiny 2's endgame. The game itself is designed more for the causal players who only jump on to play a couple times a week, where as the hardcore players are stuck with one and done activities until they hit 305. Then there isn't anything really left to go for you're pretty much done, where as in Destiny 1 it took a lot more time for some people and it always felt like there was a reason to do anything. These are my words here. In my opinion in Destiny 1 strikes always had a purpose, in Destiny 2 I only have done like 13 strikes and I just don't see the point honestly. Crucible, rather than being multiple specific modes, has been chopped down and mixed into playlists to add "variety" of assume but without much of a choice. We can't even replay story missions infinetly anymore. We are stuck with only being able to do then when they come up as meditations, (however we can replay all the adventures for some reason). The only true grind there is is getting the exact armor sets and weapons you want and modding them the way you want, with the help of microtransactions of course. *Mirotransaction rant ensues*
You see that shiny ship, sparrow or shatter over there? Yup, he bought it... you don't even get a ship or sparrow from end game activities anymore ffs. The shipwright as well is dead now.
What are your thoughts on the current "End game" of Destiny 2?

 • To start with, I have read a few datto articles, and I know enough from those to know not to listen to datto. There are very few players (percentage wise) that datto represents. Datto is an incredible player, no doubt, and being an incredible player that profits from this game leaves him far away from my best interests. It's in his best interest for bungie to make Destiny a game that only he and the top 1% of players have the ability complete, so that he can write articles and make videos on how to complete the missions. I'm not a terrible player, and I play anywhere from 20 to 60 hours per week, depending on the week. When Skolas came out, it was hard for my fireteam to complete, but with enough patience and 3-7 hours, we could do it. In my opinion that's excessive. I agree that end game content should be hard, but sometimes I think it gets taken to the extreme. In the current raid, my fireteam gets to Calus in a half hour to 45 minutes...which is where it ends...5 hours or more later with nobody having anything to show for it but some worthless tokens and not enough glimmer to put a shader on our ships. In my opinion that's too tough. I think there is plenty of extremely challenging endgame content. Worthy of Destiny Gods like datto and yourself. There's a weekly tournament for everybody that's good with a mida multi tool called "Trials of the Nine". If that's too easy for you, I suggest finding a couple of not so great guardians to help. That should get that level of difficulty up there. In my personal opinion endgame content should be completable by most players. I think the King's Fall raid was as close to perfect as it gets. It had a good balance of mechanics and Dps, and actually gave out loot. This raid has 3 medium difficulty encounters and 1 that must be executed utterly flawlessly with an insane amount of precision and coordination with next to 0 rewards. I think Nighfalls should be a little easier. I haven't tried the prestige...and I'm not sure I will. If I want to feel bad about my video gaming ability, my fireteam can be at Calus within an hour.
