lol, guided games doesn't work for heroic/hard mode on destiny 2. I swear to god that's so disappointing. Around the 32 min mark.....
this is bad...really bad. There's no point to this feature if people can't do the better raids. This company is backwards.

You really need to step back and look at it. Guided Games is designed to put Clans and solo players together for normal runs of Raids and the Nightfall. It gives people a chance to find a group of people they like to play with and potentially join them in a Clan, thereby also giving players a means to form a solid team so they can do Hard Mode together later on. It is not lies and bullshit. It was a smart decision. You don't go into the harder activities with randoms.

Is very simple, you learn the easy modes, you make friends etc on easy mode Then you do hard mode. As its always been said, hard raids and challenges would not work with matchmaking and bungie know that, we all know that. I don't care what they do, that's just an explanation, take it or leave it.
-
Lol... Will any of the morons who cry about matchmaking for raids EVER realize what a trainwreck it will be? If you want to play a raid, prove it and find a group. If you want to hit one button and have your hand held, good luck finishing it with the other five people of the same caliber.

Methods already exist to find people to raid with, the Guided games feature will help people break that shyness barrier and learn the mechanics of the encounters. After that, if people want to try hard mode then the Recruitment forums, DestinyLFG and the100.io will still be there. The whole 'Guided Games' thing was promoted as a feature to help people who have never raided before, not for repeated loot runs. For some it will still be great and will lead them tentatively into some of the greatest online gaming moments they've ever had, for others its just a feature for noobs. Either way if you want to get that hard mode loot you'll have to man-up in more ways than one.

It is a bit disappointing, but it doesn't mean there is "no point" to the feature. The feature is there for you to meet some new friends and maybe get involved in a clan. If the feature works how it should, it should connect you in with some people that you can go onto do Heroic difficulty raids (and Nightfall). Harder difficulties should require team work that only comes from playing with the team before. Where Guided Games doesn't allow for that.
-
I don't see how this is a bad thing... You still have guided games for the regular raids to help you learn the mechanics and meet people there to eventually attempt the Heroic version of the raid.

It will help you meat friends and get into a clan, that clan/friends will help with hard
