In the context of his statement, it is used incorrectly. As for your assertion: I have no problem with players' opinions. My post addresses the manner in which some express themselves. If you mean I am bigoted toward those who bitch just to bitch, constantly abuse others, and just generally act like an asshat...then I guess you are correct. I am an asshat-ist and a douchebag-ist.

No no, denigrate means to unfairly criticize (doubtful usage, but since he's being subjective; whatever) and bigotry can also indicate being intolerant to those holding differing opinions. It's not just interpreted as an intolerance to different people. That said, I'm on your side regarding your op. Would be great to leave the sniveling elitists behind.

I want the game to live up to its potential. There are also not only two sides to every topic and many people have a mix of different opinions on each of them. Don't make it look like there is only your side and the "whiners". If Bungie had been honest in 2014 there would never have been this backlash and these moutains of salt. If they can't switch to dedicated server tech atm then say so and give us a roadmap how they plan to make things better. But I see that they are at least now trying to explain stuff to people instead of sending DeeJ talking "communications jargon" aka crap.

There are the whiners and the rest of us. There are many "sides" in that second group. I certainly have my own issues with Bungie and the game. I certainly don't think everyone would agree with my take. That's what makes discussion interesting. The whiners may have"sides" also. But IMO, they just make the forum unpleasant without adding anything useful or entertaining. I disagree with you about the proposition that if Bungie were honest in 2004, there would not be these people. That may be true to a small degree. But, I see many people express doubts and concerns without being obnoxious. I'm pretty sure the folks that I described would be exactly the same regardless...and just find different things to bitch about. It's just who they are.
