Hello, Paradox here. Today I have with me, the list of notable ascendant Hive that have been encountered by The Guardian. From the highest gods of the pantheon, to the the lowest knight servant. This page will cover mainly the knights, but I threw in the Hive gods as well.
Gods:
Oryx, the Taken King- Born Aurash, daughter of the Osmium King of Fundament. From the wyrm gods of the Deep, she received the king's wyrm; with it, she took the name Auryx, then Oryx. He then learned to Take from Akka, and built the Tablets of Ruin to commune with the Deep. Oryx was killed by The Guardian's raid team on the Dreadnought.
Savathûn- Born Sathona, daughter of the Osmium King of Fundament. From the wyrm gods of the Deep, she received the mother's wyrm; with it, she took the name Savathûn. Savathûn remains at large, increasing her brood.
Xivu Arath- Born Xi Ro, daughter of the Osmium King of Fundament. From the wyrm gods of the Deep, she received the knight's wyrm; with it, she took the name Xivu Arath. The knight lord still crosses the stars, claiming worlds.
Crota, Son of Oryx- Crota led Hive forces against the largest Guardian army in history. The battle on the moon, later to be called the Great Disaster, ended with thousands of Guardians dead, and their Light consumed by Crota. After Eris came to the Tower with the news of his return, The Guardian set off to prevent the monster's return to the Physical Realm. That same Guardian mustered up a team to assault Crota in the Ascendant Realm, the Oversoul Throne, which ended with Crota's demise.
Nokris- Not much is known about Nokris. Nothing at all, really. The name, the being was erased from the World's Grave. The only remnants of this creature was the statue on the Dreadnought, just beside Crota's.
Knights:
Kranox, the Graven- The guard of the World's Grave-- the Hive's records of all that they conquered-- deep in Luna. With Kranox dead and the World's Grave secrets cracked, Guardians have learned many of their plans.
Swarm Princes- The Swarm Princes forged Crota's dark sword, Light-eater. The Princes waited deep in the Hellmouth, shattering Light that challenged them, then tithed it to the sword so it would not go hungry. They were killed by The Guardian after learning of their presence.
Sardok, Eye of Oryx- Deep in the gutted moon, is one of innumerable shrines of Oryx. Sardok watches over this shrine, destroying who dares defile the sacred chamber. Sardok was killed by The Guardian after being sent to destroy the shrine and disconnect the Hive to their god.
Blades of Crota- These are more than knights. They are Crota's malice placed in vessels-- world carvers-- sent to consume the Light and give it as tithe to the god-knight. Many of these "Blades" have been vanquished on Earth and Luna by various Guardian fireteams. There have even been reports of Guardians taking up the swords, and slaying dozens of Hive with a mere one swing.
Sardon, Fist of Crota- Sardon was a Swarm Prince that helped forge Crota's sword. He was Crota's first of many disciples, and was the general of Crota's forces. His presence on Earth showed where Crota's gaze loomed. He was killed deep in the Grottos by The Guardian with the aid of Eris Morn.
Hand of Crota- The Hand of Crota was a knight hiding in the Lunar Complex of the Cosmodrome. The knight was defeated by The Guardian after being sent on a quest from Eris Morn to exterminate Crota's agents.
Urzok, the Hated- He was a tough son of a bitch! I hated fighting that damned Hive fu-- Breathe, Paradox, breathe... Okay! As I was saying, Urzok was present amongst a Hive assault force at the Skywatch. The Guardian, along with many others, overcame the beast.
Wretched Knights- These monstrosities were enforcers controlled by the Worm Keepers in the Prison of Elders. Their loyalty was only won over by the promise of the spoils of Light. A Wretched Knight was killed by The Guardian after granted access into the Reef.
Urrox, Flame Prince- Urrox once watched over a lost brood of Hive long ago. With the remnants of that brood at his side, Urrox now waited in the Prison of Elders. He has a never before seen grasp of fire-- he has the ability to ignite the world in flames at his command.
Alak-Hul, the Darkblade- Alak-Hul was once present at the Hellmouth with Crota, along with his mate Verok. To Oryx, he was a foster son, and usually resided in the Dreadnought with the Taken King. Alak-Hul was a great warrior, earning him the title of Darkblade. Left without a task, Alak-Hul, with the persuasion of Verok, planned to overthrow Oryx. This led to to the knight's imprisonment, where he was later killed during a Vanguard strike mission.
The Warpriest- This knight was Oryx's general. He helped pave the way of the conquering of five hundred and eighty-five worlds. As his name implies, he connected bold challengers or heretics to Oryx through ritualistic combat. He decides who is worthy or not in a fight to the death. No one has bested him before, not yet. The Guardian's raid team challenged him, and with many Hive killed, they defeated the warpriest.
Match me in bloodshed
Or in blood be drowned
Vorlog- This knight was apart of Oryx's court, High War. Vorlog used arcana-- wizard strength-- to manipulate and adapt his combat shields-- his knight strength. Because of this gift, Oryx took him in and gave him a name, a name to forever remind where that knight belongs in his court-- Vorlog; Less Than Me.
Thalnok, Fanatic of Crota- Thalnok mimicked Crota, from his armor configuration, to his want to hear Oryx to call him son. Oryx made Thalnok into his court so he may see "his son" as a member of his court. Nonetheless, Thalnok was not Crota.
Ecthar, Sword of Oryx- Ecthar was Oryx's advisor, his right hand man. He is a part if the Silent Brood, a sect of Hive found in the deeper layers of the Dreadnought. He was killed by The Guardian during a quest to purify swords made from the shard of Willbreaker, Oryx's sword.
Mengoor and Cra'adug- These two knights consumed Light side by side. They gave tithe to each other, strengthening each other, rather than it going to Oryx. The Taken King punished them by placing a curse upon them.
Let separation rule you. Let companionship be your ruin.
Malok- Once just a thrall, Savathûn raised him to infiltrate Oryx's court and take tithe from him. Once he arrived, Oryx quickly discovered the plot against him. Oryx Took the thrall and named him, Malok; My Poison. He was killed at the Shrine of Oryx during a Vanguard strike mission.
