Movement is not the problem and neither are shotguns. Primaries not being able to compete with a shotgun is the problem. Theres a reason shotguns dont dominate in other fps that have just as high mobility and thats because a primary can shut a shotty down.
Im gonna leave this here for you to look at. I copied it from a post by another guardian. No im not saying shottys are OP. Go through every gametype and look at whats on top. Its fuçking crazy lol. There are definitely way to many shottys running around the crucible that much is for sure. Buff all primary damage.

There are high mobility fps with the same cqc or even tighter cqc where shotguns are not a problem. Why? Primaries compete with them and makes them the ideal choice. I agree with you i dont think shotguns are op at all.

Shotguns legitimately compete with the primaries. In fact some of those game you choose a shotgun as your primary. It's not an apples to apples comparison. They are only effective in the closest ranges here. I've heard the arguments about primaries not competing and I can only agree with them from about 30 feet in or so. Anything outside of that and I'm very successful challenging them with both primaries and other specials. I [b]have to be accurate[/b] though. I'm truly not seeing or experiencing that as an issue.

Shottys and snipers are both primary weapons which makes this even worse. Destiny players are spoiled. We get a primary, a shotty/sniper secondary, AND a heavy weapon lmao. Oh and we get a radar thats on all the time lol. Buff the primaries
