This is definitely off topic question ,why variks doesn't get involved to the dlc?

I´d say that his goal was to avenge the Awoken that died during Skolas´rebellion. With that out of the way I´d say that he prefers to focus on rebuilding the Reef. Plus, since the Fallen Devils have "just now" learned about SIVA, chances are that Variks doesn´t have much intel to share with us.
