If you bought it digitally through your console store, did you buy Destiny: The Taken King or Destiny - The Collection?
If you purchased Destiny: The Taken King, then you do not have the base Destiny game. If you take a look at the description it says "Requires Destiny." The Destiny base game is no longer available digitally, so you will either need to purchase a physical copy or purchase Destiny - The Collection.

由Kriar編輯: 9/5/2016 11:07:56 PMI have the PS3 Destiny that was a digital upgrade, then I bought The Taken King expansion separately. Own: PS3: Destiny base game physical copy PS3: Taken King Expansion PS4: Digital Upgrade, PSN download PS4: Taken King Expansion, PSN download.. Also, my PS4 is activated my primary system

Not sure what the Digital upgrade content is. I do know this, The Dark Below and House of wolves transferred to next gen for free. TTK and the the base game do not transfer and need to be purchased. The only digital upgrade path that I'm aware of is Destiny - The Collection Upgrade, Info Here. Is that what you purchased?

It shows in my addon's as: Destiny: The Taken King I also have Destiny Expansion Pass; I can play base-game content (Earth, haven't tried others) On the Information screen it says version 1.26, Destiny (nothing else). When I launch it it says "Trial Mode" in the top left hand side. It ported my 3 characters over from the PS3 (one level 40); The person at PlayStation said I have everything needed to play Destiny, AND the Taken King.

Unfortunately, they misinformed you. The reason why you can't get out of trial mode is because you do not own the base game for the PS4. TTK includes the previous two DLCs but not the base Destiny game. Take a look at the description in the PlayStation Store. It says: "Destiny: The Taken King, now also includes Expansion I and Expansion II for Destiny owners at one great price. Includes level 25 character boost to get you immediately battle ready. REQUIRES DESTINY, SOLD SEPARATELY." https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/addons/destiny-the-taken-king/cid=UP0002-CUSA00219_00-DESTINYTAKENKING

Okay, so that was the wrong link, but going back. When Destiny PS4 came out it offered a free (I think) option to upgrade to the PS4 for free. So that should be the base Destiny Game, right? Hense why I purchased The Taken King upgrade because I could play Destiny without the Taken King (just not the content); IE, the upgrade they offered was Destiny for PS4 upgraded from Destiny PS3. What was the previous Digital Upgrade Program offer? Previously, the Digital Upgrade Program was a limited time offer that allowed players to upgrade at no cost some Destiny content and expansions within the same family from a Legacy Console to a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One console. This offer is no longer available. This was done while the offer was active. (that's why I used the wrong link).

I agree, it's amazingly confusing. In case you didn't know, I'm not a Bungie employee, just a #Help volunteer. A lot of folks were posting this same thing so I did some research to get to the bottom of it. I have been steering folks in the right direction ever since. The worst part is that the trial downloads with TTK and folks think they are good to go until they get stuck. Sorry I didn't have a more positive outcome for you.

I had a similar situation with House of Wolves. I called Sony and calmly explained the situation and they credited my account so I could get the correct content. I think they get yelled at a lot and have to keep track of a lot of different games, so if you know what you're talking about and stay nice about it, they are pretty accommodating.
