Klavion Rixlen was a descendant from a Russian cosmonaut, although in his newly formed state as a Guardian he didn't know it. He became a Guardian to help the people. As humanity hid after the attacks, the Vanguard even gave up the moon, hoping it would keep the hive satiated and prevent them from coming to Earth. It didn't work.
Klavion could sense the rumblings under the moon, his ghost often looked up and wondered what went on beneath the surface... something was happening... something dark.
The Vanguard forbade anyone from leaving the planet. It was too dangerous, and humanity needed it's protectors close. But something called to Klavion. An urge to explore... a need to find out what evils threatened his beloved home.
After many arguments with his leadership, Klavion disregarded their orders. He knew it might be a death sentence, but whisps of memory from ancestors past subtly echoed in his mind... "to the stars" they said.
He and his ghost rocketed to the moon, knowing the danger. When the attack came, he knew he wouldn't escape. There was naught left to do but fight. To show these dark enemies what awaited them were they to attack humanity.
He unleashed the ferocity of the human spirit, and the terror of his light upon his foes. They fell by the score, and so did he. Revive after revive, his ghost kept up his light as Klavion fought.
Eventually, a hive wizard came forth. Biding it's time, studying the warrior... analyzing the light of his ghost. It prepared a song. The light-devouring serenade of ultimate end. Amid knights and thrall and acolytes, Klavion fell again.
In this weakened state, Klavion's ghost felt the cold encroaching darkness as the song completed its course with inhuman chords and haunting caucophony.
And then... it was lost. The ghost had no more connection to his Guardian. Alone in a void of dark energy, surrounded by enemies... it collapsed.
After an untold time of torture, experimentation and heartbreak, knowing it was doomed, this ghost held out. One driving goal to survive in the hopes that one day it would be met with light once again.
"Live on!" it thought... "Live ON! One day... I will be found by the light... one day I can speak of my Guardian's heroism, and warn the Vanguard of the Darkness that fester below... I just have to survive long enough..."

I bought a pin on the Bungie store that included a code for the emblem. I got it because the proceeds went to the Bungie Foundation charity, and it's a good cause. Later, I found out all their 2016 profits go to charity, not just the sales of the Foundation pin, haha, so I could have bought something besides the pin, but I'm happy with the emblem :)

Thanks so much, man. I really appreciate it. I love writing and every now and then I put something out there and expect a few people to read it, and that's about it. And that's cool, that's all you should expect. But it's really nice and means alot for people to actually take time to leave a positive comment like yours. So thanks, I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to read and let me know what you think about it.
