Book Recommendations
I'm hoping that some of you guys can take this thread seriously and provide some recommendations for reading material.
I'm currently very interested in non fiction. I'll take any non fiction recommendations but I'd prefer to read books that are focused between the revolutionary war and WWII.
Please recommend fiction books as well.

Different point of view than your usual war story. It's outside your period and technically fiction, but The Things They Carried is a fantastic war story Outside of that, some of my favorite books are Dune, Lord of the Rings, The Count of Monte Cristo, Dracula (if you can forgive the ending), and the Narnia series (those are 7 extremely well written philosophical books pretending to be children's books)

Tortilla Flat - John Steinbeck [spoiler]Drunken vagabond inherits two houses. Has King Arthur like adventures with friends. It's a book about friendship, it does not have a happy ending, it does have an overall good message.[/spoiler]

1 回覆Belgariad is the best series of books ever. Read the malloreon too, it follows on-but be warned that King Of The Murgos is [i]very[/i] bad. Don't give up, Demon Lord Of Karanda afterwards is much better. Seriously, all of them are good apart from the aforementioned King Of The Murgos.
