I just recently got into small classic cars like the 2000 GTR PGC10, Mazda RX3 and Europeans like the Ford Escort RS2000 and Alfa Romeo. And I'm intrigued by them, like the way they tackle a track. Give them a slight power upgrade, suspension, brakes and tyres and they'll keep up with a R35 or even a 991 GT3 RS.

Nostalgia, probably the main reason people buy classic. Timeless, beautiful designs usually loved by most car enthusiasts. Simple, easy to work on and the fact how they're so connected to the road. Investment, as they get rare the more they fetch. I don't get why you dislike them. Anyone that can't appreciate a certain era, type or region of cars aren't real car enthusiasts.
