my own army? What limits are there?
*regrets asking*
I'll probably use my Eldar army.
Your informant contacts you over a radio:
All right, listen up you mercs, I hired you to get a job done and I want you to get this done right. Our forces staged an attack on a Comms relay in the jungles. However recent Intel shows that we didn't quite complete our objective. Salvageable remains of vital information remain: Data on our attack, and an intercepted radio transmission that could lead them to our secure channels. We need you to go back in and eliminate the Assessment crew before they find the data.
New challenge added: Time limit (50 comments)
This a easy challenge, and I well expect you to complete in the time limit.

A scout revealed certain Intel about their assessment team as well; It appears to be a fully armed force, but they doesn't seem to be any high ranking officers. In fact there are quite a bit of engineering units mixed in with the combat force. We don't think their expecting an attack at all. You have the drop on them when you roll in, provided you use a modicum of stealth and finesse.
Enemy Troop details revealed by scout: 2 super heavy Warframes 20+ heavy Warframes 40+ Warframes, unknown if AI enabled 20+ soldiers, varying rank 30+ engineers 5 tanks 10 scavengers (cargo super heavy Warframes) 2+ gunships
There may be more inside the relay itself, and the drop ship is nowhere to be seen. Be prepared. Do not attract reinforcements.

The scene is generally as the picture displays, but there are eight buildings like the one depicted in a semi circular arrangement. The under brush has been cleared on the interior of the semi circle.
the force that had been 'hired' were no mercs. The current tide of the war was favorable, and the disturbance the stratos people brought was unacceptable. The Eldar Farseer of Craftworld Alaitoc prepared her forces, moving through the Webway to reach their target, the Jungle. The team stepped out of the gates set up by Vector, of Ulthwé, who was currently otherwise engaged. Using the undetectable, ultra advanced and otherworldly cloaking technology used by the Eldar, their forces massed in the jungle, unseen, unknown in numbers.

The Stratos forces continue to dig in the rubble, Engineers carefully tend the scavenger goliath's, their touch delicate enough to handle eggs, by strong enough the lift the rubble littering the compounds. You see it, the drop ship makes a pass over the cluster of building and drops a single object. It slams into the ground in the center of the complex. It Throws dust and dirt into the air, and you can see the marking on the ground where it landed. It was a drop zone for supply drops. Already Marked out as a preset target for supply satellites. The object remains stationary, Compacted, it is hard to tell exactly what it is. The assessment team is completely unaware of the force approaching them.
-
The Farseer spread her forces appropriately, beginning the chain reaction. The first thing that occurred was the loud screeching in the comm system, grilling it beyond repair. Targeting systems, HUDs and other equipment of the same type was momentarily disrupted, as the Satellite drop signal was reset. To the men in the ship it seemed like a simple lag in the computer, and to the team on the ground it felt like an extremely powerful loop of feedback assaulted their ears and broke the communications system. Strike one. Strike two. Rocks were moved barely centimeters at the feet of the team, completely unnoticeable. It was probably just the equipment's working that made the ground shake. Strike three. One of the crewmembers' felt a sting in his neck. Damn bugs... suddenly, both of the super heavy Warframes' legs gave out, the metallic shapes crumbling upon themselves.

由Stratos編輯: 10/29/2015 4:15:13 AMThe vast explosion created by the behemoths knees giving out alerts the entire crew. They were under assault. Three blue flares launch into the sky. Two more. Two more after that. Finally a single red flare flies out of the wrist launcher of a soldier near the slowly falling Warframe. The drop ship turns in its path an slowly returns to the base. The Warframe catches itself on one arm and points its free arm at the source of the blast and fires a three round burst into the trees of high explosive ammunition. The engineer on the Warframe dies in the fall. The attack Also damaged the Warframes targeting system. They whizz harmlessly over the eldars heads, but it was enough to give away their position. All across the compound, shields go up and alarms go off. The soldiers hide behind cover and engineers flee into the buildings. The scavenger Warframes lift slabs of concrete up, Providing impromptu barriers.
3 comments to minor reinforcements from the drop ship. Unless you can down the ship in three turns.
-
The trap had worked. The gunship suddenly caught ablaze in the air, crashing down to the ground. -in the dropship-
as the vessel turned back to see the flares, a turbulence shook the craft. The comms were still unresponsive. Suddenly, a blade was driven into the pilot(s) throat, splashing blood all over the console. The second group of Banshees had then appeared near the engine, in which they had planted charges. As they detonated, the warriors teleported out of the vessel, joining the Farseer inside the dome.
She had already everything needed inside the compound, including the concealed webway gate that would feed them reinforcements without the enemy ever knowing... their infiltration was successful, as their enemies looked to the exterior for them, never suspecting to be attacked from within.

The rest of the crew in the drop ships bridge desperately attempt to alter the course of the drop ship so it wouldn't hit the buildings. The kilometer long Goliath would not budge from its downward path, crashing into the compound. A flying piece of debris launches itself across the jungle floor at such velocity that it literally cuts two of the cloaked eldars squads in half from the waist down. Warframes fire at the corpses of the eldar killed in the crash. Explosives liter the area, but with no more corpses appearing they cease fire and redirect towards them. The engineers inside are completely unaware of the threat among them. In comparison to the wreckage the drop ship caused, the destroyed gunship is almost unnoticed, smashing into a satellite dish and then falling to the ground. Five of the eight buildings are destroyed, all the souls inside gone.
Reinforcements avoided. Finish the job in 10 turns to avoid any added surprises.

ftr there are no Eldar in the Jungle. They all moved into the perimeter at the start. I guess it's my fault for not telling you. And maybe you could have told me a bit more details about the mechs and all before we started... I didn't even know they were god damned titans lol
One by one, the members of the crew were picked off inconspicuously. The Eldar remained perfectly cloaked, despite the stratos team's best efforts to break through them. Soon, nearly all ground members were dead. The computers had been wiped entirely, leaving no trace of the data the recovery team had been sent to gather. All that was left for the Eldar was to deal with the armor... and that is what the Fire Dragons were left to deal with. Orange orbs flew into the multiple exposed joints of the hulking machines. But before they could even begin a retribution, the orbs burned through them with the heat of a thousand concentrated suns, digging through the metallic monstrosity until they joined at the center, creating a sort of mini-supernova, disintegrating a huge chunk of the inside of the walker. The smaller frames would suffer a similar fate, but that fate was reserved to the wraithguard. With their Wraithcannons, they fired what seemed to be discs of pure energy, which sliced clean through the armor of the frames, fired on them from multiple directions, literally mincing them to bits.

The last gunship rains tungsten darts down into the battlefield with reckless abandon. It shreds into the soft flesh of the ground troops. As each Warframe meets its end, it explodes, it's power core detonating and melting the machine into a pile of scrap for recycling. The pod Dropped in the center of the compound begins to shift.
Boss fight. Take care of the gunship you forgot and prepare Your troops.
-
Suddenly, the pods, the buildings, everything exploded. Charges that had been set earlier detonated on the item, blowing it to Kingdom Come. Then, the true power of the Eldar was shown. The Seer council, ten very powerful warlocks, emerged from the gate. The Guardians that were shot at by the gunship were only wounded, their armor absorbing most of the damage. The wounded soldiers were evacuated through the gate, fresh new soldiers taking their place. The Seers got to work on the gunship. Together, in a combined effort of their powers, they formed a pressure field around the craft, making it crumble unto itself, bringing it down into the ground in a Blaze.
-
The pod survived the blast with absolutely no damage. Several hulking figures in black armor emerge from various doors in the machine, dropping to the forest floor, firing in mid air Anyone with a minimal knowledge of the Stratos military force would recognize them immediately: Helldivers. Advance technologies have tracked the cloaked soldiers from the beginning, mapping bullet trajectories, watching footprints. Instantly 7 or eight Eldar fall, heads completely missing, before the Special Forces even hit the ground. But where are they? The hell divers are nowhere to be seen. The pod continues to unfold.
Time technology. These soldiers can enter and exit the time stream, analyze data over and over again in a separate realm and return to the timestream to act on their knowledge, again and again and again. You can't kill these guys directly, your bullets simply won't be there when the soldiers are there. Flee and have to deal with them later on, or strategize and find a way to incapacitate them. 10 comments until the device activates.
-
so the "easy" mission is actually impossible? And apparently you haven't been following with my hints; the Eldar cloaking is flawless. Impossible to detect. Not by any machine used by your guys.
No Eldar fall, despite their best efforts.
unless you give me a way to fight off your GM masters, I can't do much. Easy mission my ass...
由Stratos編輯: 10/29/2015 1:48:15 PM
I said you can just run, you don't have to fight them. It's just an opportunity to make fights with them later easier. You have a large open arena to experiment with them, just you and them nothing else. You'll see them in later fights in the midst of combat and you'll have to deal with them then. Think carefully. Remember they travel through time, not ______!

also the fight was supposed to be much more difficult if you didn't disable comms. That was like your ace move. Also I've killed maybe 15 in comparison to your 1000+. You're doing pretty well
The soldiers blink in and out of existence, firing into the woods at all they think are Eldars. The pod continues to shift and move.
-
you don't even respect your own rules. You said that if I ended the fight in 10 comments, no more surprises. I wrote one comment. What do I find? GM warriors coming out of nowhere. You even told me that I had successfully disabled reinforcements. What do I find? These guys.
The unsuspecting soldiers begin taking casualties, never knowing where or when the unknown enemy forces are attacking.

由Stratos編輯: 10/29/2015 2:57:36 PM
*Sighs* these were there from the beginning, you did end the fight in time and I gave you the boss fight. I didnt give you reinforcements. Like i said before you can run If you feel overwhelmed.

the goal is to use create an interesting back and forth narrative of how you battle and overpower the defenses, as long as you're not absolutely glassing the entire place it should be fine. The battles will get tougher. Much, much tougher.
