won't us finding life on another planet disprove about 75% of christan religions?

The religions are still here mane.
Ehhh to be clear I don't disagree with you but it's not like the church wasn't apart of the government and lead crusades burning and pillaging many scientific findings, scientists, mathematicians and many other things that pertained to science "worship" which was thought to be an act against god due to ignorance and misunderstanding that science is god, it's what the embedded intrinsic codes of this universe consists of. The very essence of god, and this fact is widely misunderstood- Einstein believed in a god(not the personified version most believe in) but of a source or energy that constitutes everything... An almighty law- hence the almighty governor of an almighty law( is how it seems to be interpreted of religions, which aren't the sole or proven paths to god either btw)

Depends. Some people will be disillusioned. Some will think the aliens are the devil incarnate. Others might actually have their faith strengthened but have a more human central view thinking that we are God's chosen people. A lot of different possibilities.
won't us finding life on another planet disprove about 75% of christan religions?
What statistic are you using? Also religion and god is a different subject imo. Religion just is a community of believers, doesn't mean they have proved anything so what's their to disprove? If your answer is "god". Nothing in this universe disproves god(maybe different ideologies of limited thoughts to what a god is) thus we are left with allegorical and cryptic thought processes leading to sects of worshipers, just as tribalism in all animals would result in. Religions aren't "righteous" merely social creatures doing what they do best. They don't prove anything but that science and god can coexist(if god is a god that is, imo infinite existence= our concept of god so to me god could be a source of everything I don't like to personify energy but what's our consciousness then? I don't think you wanna get into this conversation because we just don't have enough knowledge yet. In these past few millenniums alone life has discovered physics and Math's connection with the universe, I'd say we have quite a while before this conversation could actually take place and progress beyond mere conjecture and belief)

true statement. but I am referring to no specifics statistics, but a simple google search could give you results if you so desire. and I am not referring to any group of people proving anything, but rather disproving the unproven idea that a specific god exists, with specific morals to follow, and why 666 is a bad number, etc. it is disproving what some people believe to be proof unto itself.

Yes it's a touchy subject but I have always said there is no such thing as luck and thus no supernatural merely things we cannot comprehend. Just wanted to make sure you weren't discounting god, glad to see it's the more man made conjectures made because of ignorance(like that bad things or certain numbers=evil)

Disagree on the "luck" not existing! I have a friend that could fall face 1st in shit & would find a gold nugget stuck in his mouth! Yet I could easily find "a needle in a haystack" I would just sit on it & it would be imbedded in me somewhere!

No actually. I am Christian and God never said that aliens don't exist. Just ask yourself, does finding a single celled organism on Mars disprove God? No. That's a ridiculous thought. The same idea can be applied to intelligent aliens. Life on other planets has nothing to do with religion.

not necessarily in your version of christanity, but the majority of the christian modifications say that a supreme being forged the universe for us and only us. these will be disproven when we discover life. it is a ridiculous thought, but so are most modifications of the christian religion. yours is simply more sensible. good job being in that lucky 25% ;)
