This is the rare story that I think actually deserves all the outrage it's gotten. I hate unreasonable zero tolerance policies in schools, I hate schools using suspension as their only disciplinary took, I hate school administrators who can't admit they were wrong, I hate pointless and unnecessary paranoia, it all sucks and it's all this story is about.

I'm not sympathetic toward the boy in particular because due to mass shootings, 9/11, and other highly politicized events, school policy as well as the policies of our entire nation have become pretty irrational and alarmist. That said, what I do find odd about this particular case is that the normal procedure for a bomb threat was not followed, which does suggest something fishy. Either way, I don't see enough evidence to make the logical leap that this was due to racism or religious prejudice, as much as the left wants it to be.

9 回覆Yea when are most liberals going to learn that we, as Americans must do everything we can to discourage interest in Science, engineering and mathematics amongst our young people? Too much education can also make you question our Lord and Savior Donald Trump. Hopefully this little bastard has learned that school is no place for showing your intellectual curiosity and achievements.

43 回覆They didn't call the bomb disposal team fam, nor did it look like a bomb, nor was there any reason to interrogate a 14 year old for hours on end. It's a total farce and to defend it only proves how many freedoms the 'land of the free' is willing to surrender without any just reason

8 回覆I agree with his overall point. In the end, there's nothing wrong with precaution in light of everything that's happened over the years. And I also don't place any blame on the teacher who reported the kid. However, this incident still has a clear chain of stupidity attached to it that can't be overlooked. Anyone could take a closer look at the "bomb" and see that there was no explosive material within it. And let's face it.. the damn thing looks more like a movie or cartoon version of an IED than anything we're actually seeing being used. So I don't blame the teacher. I don't even blame the principle for contacting the police. Neither of these two are qualified to make that call and they have school procedures that they're required to follow. But are you seriously telling me that the cops were fooled enough to actually arrest the kid? Seriously?
