And Metacritic, which was your source, has it at 89 per critics. The critics has been merciless on Destiny from the start so if they give it a collective 89 it's an improvement on past DLC, which in turn... would be a success.

Based upon the sample size, no. Though it seems the majority of the negative reviews are by players who did not purchase the DLC, so are seemingly giving negative reviews without being informed and purely out of spite.
