Because people are catching onto the hamster wheel mentality that Destiny has become. People feel like they are being taken advantage of in TTK. People are mad. Well you see here I payed for everything in this game like everyone else and I greatly enjoy what this game has become. So this argument you propose is invalid

You are perfectly happy to effectively play an expansion as though it were a sequel that doesn't transfer your character, in a game that was sold telling us it was about transferring your character through ten years of games? You have no problem with planned obsolescence, over actual improvement? I bet you have a bunch of friends who play, you enjoy playing with them, and you love loot.
