I ran out of the house just as a spider-like walker burst through it. A tank rolled down Second Street, and it fired its cannon at the walker. The walker exploded. If my mother wasn't dead before, she was dead now. Another huge ship flew by, dropping alien soldiers with glowing blue eyes. I pulled the trigger on the gun and held it. By the time the cartridge was empty, all of the aliens were dead, with holes in their bodies. [i]So these were the devils that Father Nathaniel was talking about.[/i] I thought. I looked down at their bodies. [i]But how many are there?[/i] I heard the same sound that the first ship made. But... Bigger. I looked up, and saw what I now know is a Ketch, the home of a very large group of fallen. The soldiers rushed me and the rest of the survivors into a truck, and drove us towards The Wall. In a big, gruff, voice, the driver said, "We are going to a base camp. You will live there until they find us." I wondered how long that would be... END OF PART 3.
