Global Warming...
I was walking with a friend and we were talking about cars. So then we got to the [u][i]Telsa[/i][/u], a energy efficient car, he then stated that he'd never drive anything that's not powered by gasoline. I then countered his stupidity by saying that the world is and will have to become energy efficient to continue. A few minutes later into our argument he says [b]Global Warming Is A Scam To Buy Energy Efficient Items[/b]
So I've come to OffTopic to get answers.
Is Global Warming real?

Well, your friend is stupid. Even if it is a scam to buy energy efficient items, those items are more efficient, which normally means cheaper to operate. That means your friend wants to pay more to be wasteful, just so he can be wasteful

I'm too stupid to believe global warming, or even the California drought for that matter. I firmly believe that they are scare tactics being used just to raise prices, or sell a product. I only believe they are scare tactics when it is something I disagree with. However, when it comes to things that I can get behind, like too many illegal immigrants in the country, I dismiss the possibility of lying politicians.

1 回覆I seems real, the only question is whether or not we are effecting the rate at which it happens. Seems we go through cycles (global warming to ice age) and back. We just don't have enough proof yet. If it does happen, it won't be for thousands of years.

2 回覆I do believe global warming is real. There is an overwhelmingly amount of data to prove the matter. Anyone who denies such thing (in the forums) is either lacking in knowledge of the subject, trolling, moronic, trolling, or trolling.

1 回覆Of course it is real. I'm taking a class called Chembridge, which is being sponsored by the University of Texas at Austin. And quite frankly the knowledge I've gathered from that class is a bit worrying.

Well loads of opinions about the global warming. My opinion is that it might be real, the earth has always warmed up and then got cooled down by a ice age. I believe global warming exelerates that proces. (sorry for the bad english)
