Sony assisting Square Enix with development, claims rumor. Square Enix’s PlayStation 3 action RPG Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been renamed Final Fantasy XV and is in joint development with Sony for PlayStation 4, according to a VGLeaks rumor. Development on the game was supposedly stopped and moved to Sony’s new console in 2011. The rumor claims Sony’s studios are assisting Square Enix with the game’s assets, “among other tasks.” The mumble comes hot off the heels of Roen, which designed clothes in Final Fantasy Versus XIII, listing the game as “Final Fantasy 15” on their website.
