由xbroggiex编辑: 5/14/2026 12:10:18 AM$80 Limited Edition D2 $70 Forsaken + Annual Pass $30 for Shadowkeep seasons $30 for Beyond Light seasons $40 for Witch Queen seasons $40 for Lightfall seasons $40 for The Final Shape Episodes $330 for all of that so OP ain't that far off and thats assuming you didn't buy stuff ala carte and bought every deluxe edition at release. If you bought stuff ala carte then you'd be seeing the $400 range quite easily. Still regardless of if OP is correct or not on the value of the content missing its still -blam!- they deleted it from the game.

由xbroggiex编辑: 5/14/2026 5:20:53 PM
Lol aside from the fact that seasons have always rotated in & out (hence the name "seasons"), how many strikes, crucible maps, gambits, raids, & campaigns were in them?
Yeah and it caused massive issues for the games narrative by constantly cutting out huge swathes of content every year. Each season had its own campaign. Even if they didn't have specifically strikes, crucible maps, gambit content or raids they still had content that was removed and the game has just been worse off for it. I don't think anyone particularly gives a crap about the verbiage Bungie decides to use to try to excuse themselves when they are still removing content from the game. Also did you expect OP to sit there and list every seasonal activity or just the parts that are probably the most important?

I wouldn't call "do a run of (seasonal activity) & then talk an NPC" every week for 8 weeks a campaign, but we can agree to disagree.
Also did you expect OP to sit there and list every seasonal activity or just the parts that are probably the most important?
Neither. I'm assuming he didn't list seasonal activities because nobody was ever under the impression that seasonal activities would stay in the game forever, given their name & the fact that Bungie always said they would be in the game temporarily.

Most seasons at least still had at least 6-8 missions that sure weren't anything like Witch Queen or TFS level but they were there. That is still content missing from the game and narrative context missing that leaves people scratching their heads. Its why Destiny 2 will never get lots of new players because of all the deleted content. They basically dug their own grave post Beyond Light, hell you can even look at the popularity report and it never went above or matched Red War, Forsaken or Shadowkeep launches ever since.
Neither. Still none of it should've been removed, ideally that effort should've gone into the core game rather than just another temporary content island.

由xbroggiex编辑: 5/15/2026 12:27:10 PM
That's just not true. Season passes just have 1 or 2 activities that you replay each week.
They did. The quests did also ask you to play the activities sometimes but the missions were there, they weren't like crazy, basically similar to what the average D1 campaign mission was like. Each episode during TFS had like 2-3 missions per act that progressed the story. While seasons had a weekly story beat that sometimes contained a mission and they usually had about between 6-8 of them. Some did not however but those were usually launch seasons. Example Season of the Haunted had 6 missions that you did during the questline though I think that isn't including the finale and intro which would actually be 8. Same with Season of Plunder(Actually had 8) and Season of the Seraph.

由everwilling编辑: 5/13/2026 4:56:48 AMYou had normal gambit , then specialised gambit mode where you could wear the specific armour and role , then we had the horde run , exotic quests ….now a sad crappy one mode and one round . Just more content that was taken away . Gambit is so bad surprised it survived this long . Anyways my point is we were ripped off . I’ve been there from the beginning and Bungie fecked up big time with all their other mistakes.

They took what players liked from each and made what we have now. There were never 4 modes. Gambit has always been a crappy mode. Gambit prime has horrible player numbers and it came out less than a year after gambit did. Don’t get nostalgic for -blam!- content.

There was definitely 3 modes normal gambit , plume and a horde rush , can’t remember name but you had move through and kill enemies . Anyways I agree gambit now is a sad one round one mode with nothing to chase . I was in gambit all the time .

Gambit has never been a well liked mode. People disliked it pretty soon after release.

由everwilling编辑: 5/14/2026 10:08:54 PMBut reckoning was on the gambit check page and drifter voiced the activity so its gambit and I played heaps ! Well I lived all three modes and played non stop ….but like everything else it was as stepped down and pushed to back .
