Umbral engram decoding issue

Trying to do the In the Face of Darkness quest, however I filled up my umbral engram slots prior to doing the story. Now I cannot collect the engram from the drifter to put in the umbral engram decoder. I am unable to delete any of the other engrams to make space. I cannot progress in the story. Help please!

    i am having this exact same issue and cannot move forward in the mission or game

    Hi there. As a workaround, you can complete this step on a second character where your inventory is not full of Umbral Engrams. This progress is account-wide, so once you unlock the ability to decode them on this second character, you can go back to the original character and turn them in. Otherwise, this is slated to be resolved in the next hotfix.
