You do not go toe-to-toe with TLW, unless you have a TLW yourself, or you have unbelievable levels of precision! At most you would bait, and force an error. If you can triple tap to the head, you could outgun Hawkmoon, due in part to its incnosistency. That leaves you with the legendary hand cannons. Engage at range, forcing them to lower their fire rate. They will not slow much, just enough to tip things in your favour. Duck behind cover, snap out of cover into triple taps. If things get hot, pull out a sidearm, and burn them down. Rinse and repeat.

Nobody goes toe to toe with TLW, it's inevitable because they rush with it, and it [i]can[/i] be beaten. You can get the same range, if not more, on an eyesluna. So keeping distance isn't super viable. Hawkmoon was a reference to architecture, but it also has 3 chances of luck in the chamber, almost same range, and more stability and recoil. The ONLY thing that makes TFC viable and "more of" a range is the fact it's easier to compensate recoil, but you could just shoot slower with a slower with a 'Hawkmoon' and still kill them.
