Hey all, I've decided to try and create a definitive post about the ongoing error code "beaver" issue D1 has been having now and I'll try to keep it short. Firstly, I understand 100% that this issue does not affect everyone, so I ask whoever is reading this extend sympathy to the issue, I was also unaffected until around half a year ago now the game is unplayable, so this goes out to those unaffected in hopes to get a fix before it ruins others gameplay. Secondly, this issue has been well documented for over 3-4 years, since then there has been no response from the company nor has there been any solutions, despite the bot comments telling you to check NAT type or wire your console. I will link as many cases as I can in a spoiler below. This is an issue with the servers. Those who are affected cannot access multiplayer, we cannot access fireteams and we cannot access the tower. New players, returning players are soft locked out of essentially any progression due to this. Destiny the collection costs around $40AUD currently and still allows in game purchases on a product that does not have full online functionality for many, so, I would ask if you play this game and wish for others to be able to as well, please report the store page on PlayStation or Xbox. I reported it as "other" for issues though I'm sure performance or something you feel is closer related will work. Please then write a nicely worded message to the provide details section about lack of online functionality on a game marketed to be always online and mention error code beaver. If possible, ask a friend to submit a report as well and with any luck Sony and Xbox may at least remove the game until Bungie can provide a fix. The main goal is to spread as much awareness about the issue as possible to hopefully get a fix.
