Elden Ring. Nothing matches the first time hearing the cheesy voice acting for Rykard.

The Sandvich SlayerPootis - old
Fallout 4 as I've played the game a few times and beat it. But I also had all the dlc from that one edition, goat, I think. but I took me I few years to figure out I had them (cause I'm dumb) and find the code for the dlcs but now I don't really want to play them because I just can't forget everything like chances are if you ask me a legendary or unique that I got then I could probably tell you how to get it -
Kingdom Hearts 2 or Elden Ring.

2 RepliesThe answer is, and always has been, Morrowind.

1 ReplyInteresting question. Some of my favorite games are very replayable, which is good, but also makes this a more difficult question. Probably have to go with Silent Hill 2. The twist and ending are so utterly amazing to experience for the first time (on par with TLoZ: Link's Awakening)

Skyrim 2011, the good ole days, not that Skyrim isn't still good for how old it is, my current one has better graphics and landscape. Such a fun game, not the most combat intuitive but it has good stories...

RDR2, hands down. While im not the biggest fan of Rockstar's mission design style, some of the moments in that game transforms it from just a game to a genuine work of art to me. Another banger, Journey. 1.5hrs of pure visual and environmental story telling with sum wacky mechanics and ridicously good looking graphics for what was originally a PS3 era release. Honourable mentions gotta be GoW 4 and GoW: Ragnarok While both of these had moments that frankly bore me to death lol, (inside the mountain in GoW4 and angrboda's introduction in Ragnarok) seeing Kratos evolve like he did was an experience, especially since I grew up with the old games.
Hot take; Kratos was never a bad character from a writing perspective, he just simply grew from his past as shown in the two newest games. Shocker that an optimistoc guy that tries despite his struggles is more likable as a person than a (understandably) bitter, vengeance obsessed, selfish and blood lusty killer is huh?
Miencraft or Portal 2

I was spoiled for my first play through, but, if I could play it for the first time blind, it would be Mother 3.

Titanfall 2 or Halo 3 ODST. Titanfall 2 was an experience to play for the first times and was one of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever played, but on the other hand ODST was literally the first proper FPS that I’ve ever played, and it still holds a really special place in my heart.

In thinking about this, my knee jerk reaction would be Halo 3. The only question with that is, if I played it new today, would the graphics be good enough to what I'm used to in most of today's games?

Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 Bioshock 1 and Infinite All great games i wish i could experience for the first time again.

A tie between Super Metroid and Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Both blew my mind the first time I played them. My brother said FFVII and that's a really strong answer too. Such a heavy question, though; really thought-provoking!

Death Stranding From the set pieces to the soundtrack to the sense of loneliness as you set off and the feeling of return when you see civilization on the horizon, that game is meticulously designed to hit you a certain way that subsequent playthoughs can't replicate. It's like your first solo road trip. Maybe you're moving out, maybe you're returning to college after holiday but the family isn't dropping you iff this time. Either way, you'll likely take this route again multiple times, and eventually it'll feel normal as everything becomes familiar, but that first time it just hit's different.

The whole Yakuza series The Ace attorney series Baldurs gate 3 (although replaying it and doing things you missed out on is still really fun) Cyberpunk 2077 And a curve ball but sonic adventure 1, I feel like the feeling of playing it for the first time would feel so surreal

Probably Outer Wilds. There are plenty of games that evoke strong emotions out of me that I could play again, but Outer Wilds is basically the only game that I physically cannot replay. So much of the game is based around knowledge gates, and it's genuinely amazing, but also since the only thing gating your progress is knowing how to do something, you can't really play the game the same way ever again? Nothing's stopping me from playing, say, Kingdom Hearts II again, for instance. I start a new game, and I still go through all the story beats, and levels. Sure, I know more about the game, and all the best strategies, but I can still replay it and have a good sense of progression.

I would love to play Assassin's Creed Brotherhood's multiplayer again. I had so much fun playing it when it first came out. Wished Ubisoft would make a similar stealth PvP game. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it was actually good.
