I definitely agree with what you're saying, and I am also thinking of putting down Destiny for a while. It just gets way too repetitive when I am grinding to get the same gear over and over again, only to have it reduced to nothing when a DLC comes out. I'm seriously getting sick of their BS. It is also nice to see a credible player who has clearly put the time into the game to create an informed opinion.
I think I'll slow down on Destiny for now and maybe go back to Warframe. I heard they have put in a lot of updates.

Yeah everyone's going back to that game and thanks man maybe I will see you on warframe.

Warframe would be a credible contender for Destiny IMO, except that the grind in Warframe is worse (unless it has massively changed since I last played, seems to me most of the updates are mainly to throw more stuff at you to grind/buy). Warframe actually has more interesting powers though.

When I played Warframe (up until Destiny released) the game was not that bad at all for grinding. At least if I wanted something, I knew what I had to do to obtain it. If I wanted a prime weapon, I could go see which Void missions offer drops for the weapon parts. As with Destiny, If I want an exotic I just need to keep my fingers crossed and hope that I get it. I haven't seen exactly what they have done in recent updates, but I have seen that they added more. Possibly more grind, but at least its predictable. Warframe has one of the best F2P experiences available. I love the fact that I can enjoy every single part of the game without being forced to buy things.

Really? I hated the RNG in that game. Getting a frame for free was the most backwards and ridiculous process I've ever seen (grinding bosses for blueprints). I hated trying to get rare mats to drop too. It was a fun game but I felt like it just required way too much of your time to progress at anything resembling a decent rate. Teamwork was a lot harder in that game then Destiny because the game would constantly pair me with someone who had far better equipment and speed mods so they would just run up ahead of me and kill everything. Mods, ugh, way too long to upgrade those things. Up until I hit the ascendants wall in Destiny, I was really thinking the grind in Destiny was a far more reasonable level. Then of course I hit the ascendant wall and couldn't level up at a decent rate unless I went raiding, which is fun, but really hard to find the time to do when you're in my life situation. In the end, I surprisingly feel the same way about both games though. I like them and want to love them, but each of them just has a few flaws that just makes me angry to even think about them.

I didn't find the grinding system in Warframe to be bad at all. It was much more predictable than Destiny. As for teammates running ahead issue, I feel the same way. But, that is why I stick mostly to game modes like survival and defense. Destiny has so much potential and is brought down by the terrible RNG system and worthless DLC content. By worthless, I'm mostly referring to how old weapons are now useless.
