  • Not really , it's how MMOs run . New higher tier content gets the more sustains rewards , old content gets slower rewards scheme . E.g on wow you only get valor/justice points for current expansion dungeons, scenarios and other stuff at around 100 per dungeon(100/120 justice per boss) where as older content you get no valor but a very small amount of justice points. But at the same time items needing that currency had been lowered in price for old expacs.

  • sorry to break your bubble but this is not an mmo. When Destiny becomes an mmo of the scale (at least) of Guild Wars 1, we may talk again. Right now its so small with nothing else but daily bounties as 'new things to do' that most if not all rpg's are bigger nowdays. Are all rpg's with some kind of coop or multiplayer mmo's? No. You may call Destiny a 'wannabe MMO', not an mmo, they're *only* 90% away from achieving the replayability and the amount of content a reall MMO has.

  • I know it's not an MMO but bungie still think it is so we have to abide by thier bs of what they thinks an mmo.

  • Where did you see Bungie market Destiny as an mmo? They NEVER did. They're afraid of the image the "mmo" therm gives to Call of Duty brogamers and you know very well what that image is "fat nerd playing in his basement for 17h/day", that's your MMO/WoW image. Brogamers are a huge market as you can see from games such as CoD and it is not a market that gives a flying F about WoW like type of games. This is exactly the market Bungiectivision is aiming at and the reason why they're calling this "shared world shooter" or wtf ever non sense they've invented.

  • Actually they have actively tried to deny it is an MMO - using the pretext that (and I paraphrase) "it's not an MMO because it's a first person view". So by that token It becomes an MMO when you have the Sword of Crota or the Relic, or your in Blade Dancer Mode, Other than that, they don't want to call it an MMO. Even though it fits the simple definition of an MMO : online server stored game world and character environment allowing simultaneous shared interactive game-play of large numbers of connected players. So as much as it actually is an MMO, Bungie seem to be somewhat reluctant to admit to that.
