My curiousity is aroused. I will test this theory tonight. I have not played any crucible matches yet. I need a pair of Nemesis Plane leg armor to match the rest of my armor. So off to the crucible after work. I have been mostly playing story and patrol missions and have gotten multiple green drops on some outings. With 2 characters, I have found rare primary weapons that each of those characters favor. However, one character uses the same favored primary weapon in patrol and story while the 2nd one has different favored weapons. At level 20, the one that had different favored weapons leveled up faster than the one that just jued hand cannons. With randomness involved you can only guess and hope for the best. I have seen drops after executing what I call a finesse kill. Headshots for example after jumping. I have seen more than once something drop when I targeted an enemy and let the person playing with me make the kill. That has happened several times.
