Slayer Fang in PvP
I recently acquired this weapon (little did I know it could be picked up in normal exotic mission spelunking). I've gotten use to some of it's weirdness but there are three things I do not understand:
1. How is it that I can hit a headshot for 30 in one instance but then, suddenly, it ramps up to over 300
2. I've proc'd Nightsworn without even using Slayer's Fang
3. I'm supposed to get Truesight right? I'm not seeing it

It also expirences damage fall off pretty heavily, like all shotguns. So between the exotic perk procing, buffing headshot damage and stepping in and out of damage fall off ranges, this will explain the variance in damage. The truesight granted by nightsworn sight only lasts a couple seconds.
