How do you add deepsight to weapon and what does it do?
Also, how do you open additional aspects for abilities?

1 ReplyThe weapon will drop as a Deepsight you can then extract or dismantle, if it does have a red boarder. If not then you can use an exotic Harmonizer to apply it as a one time use. Typically you need 3-5 patterns to complete a weapon to craft it. Crafted weapons let you choose all available traits after leveling it up. Are you missing Aspects at all? Ikora has most of them available to unlock.

Once you have unlocked the ability to Craft weapons by completing the first Mission of the Witch Queen Campaign, Arrival (which is available for free to all players), you will have to unlock the Patterns for individual weapons in order to Craft them at the Enclave, located in the Throne World destination map. Deepsight weapon drops (indicated by a distinct red border around the weapon icon) can be used to gain progress toward fully unlocking the Pattern necessary to Craft that weapon. Deepsight drops for Craftable Exotic weapons are obtained by completing their respective Exotic Missions, and can be Crafted after acquiring a single red border drop (although additional crafting options are gated through the earning of Intrinsics and Catalysts from these same Missions). Deepsight drops for Craftable Legendary weapons on the other hand are generally earned from specific Activities where applicable (mostly Craftable Raid weapons at this point). Many Craftable Legendary weapons can no longer be easily farmed as the Activities from which they originally dropped have been removed from the game, although they may occasionally appear available for in-game purchase at certain Vendors such as Xur. Not every copy of a Craftable Legendary weapon will drop with Deepsight active; there is an element of RNG. A special currency known as a Deepsight Harmonizer can be spent to apply Deepsight to a Craftable weapon that does not drop with Deepsight naturally. This currency can be purchased at the Monument to Seasons Past in the Tower at the price of 300 Chronologs each. The Deepsight Harmonizer currency can only be applied to a weapon if all of the following circumstances are true: • It is a Craftable Legendary weapon, the Pattern for which you have not yet fully unlocked. • The copy of the weapon originally dropped or was purchased without Deepsight active. • The copy of the weapon has not already had Deepsight applied to it via a Deepsight Harmonizer. Note that the vast majority of weapons cannot be Crafted. For a full list of Craftable weapons navigate to the Collections tab and select the Patterns and Catalysts options on the right side of your screen.
Also, how do you open additional aspects for abilities?
For the three Light Subclasses (Arc, Solar, Void) Aspects are unlocked via purchase from Ikora Rey in the Tower, and then meditating via the prompt located nearby. For the Stasis Subclasses, you will need to complete the Beyond Light Campaign, followed by a series of Quests given by the Exo Stranger on Europa. For many Strand Subclass abilities you will need to complete the Lightfall Campaign, earn Strand Meditations by defeating enemies using Strand damage at Neomuna on Neptune, and then purchase them from the Pouka Pond. One additional Strand Aspect for each Subclass is obtained by completing the Unfinished Business Quest. For the Prismatic Subclasses, you will first need to complete the Final Shape Campaign, followed by the Destined Heroes Questline with one character on your account. For your second/third characters you will again have to complete the Campaign, but the subsequent Questline will instead be split into six separate Missions that can be launched by interacting with their respective Banners located at the Lost City hub in the Pale Heart. Edited by Sir_Latvia: 2/15/2026 11:43:52 AMIkora sells light ability aspects/fragments. You have to go to Neomuna. Go inside the terraced landing zone building, you got the meditation spot there where you can unlock Strand abilities. You have to go to Europe, all the way south, you will see the Exo Stranger there, you get your stasis abilities here. For Prismatic, you have to go around the Pale Heart and unlock certain chests to get all the aspects and fragments. You can find location of all abilities on a youtube guide if you don’t want to search for them. Apart from the light abilities, to get Strand, Stasis and Prismatic will require you to finish the respective Campaigns tied to them as you unlock some of the stuff during the campaign missions.

Deep sight can drop random on most applicable weapons depending on the drop source... I recommend looking up a list because it's changed a lot over time... Otherwise you can use a deep sight harmonizer to apply deep sight to a weapon that doesn't have it and any one gun can only have deep sight once... raid guns require spoils to apply deep sight also
