Its plays just as well offline

The game is online only, solo is not playing offline, if you have no internet connection, you can't even pass through the title screen

I was being sarcastic. But no this game is dependent with live services. Campaign mode would be only thing that might seem reasonable to do offline but you would have to increase file size considerably and wouldn't make sense to try and seperate considering the bulk of game is reliant on live services

Well, you are not wrong, but it would be better than no Destiny 2 at all
