I am glad your happy. I however would love more effort on making the game fun, less focused on having the best build or the right weapon perks.
I would like engaging content. A pixel suit of armor does not get it done.

yeah me too, i would love if bungie stopped focusing a looter shooter on the loot
I however would love more effort on making the game fun, less focused on having the best build or the right weapon perks.
The point of a looter shooter is to get a good build and good loot to complete some of the harder levels of content. There ain't much point to the game other than that.

No the point of a looter shooter is to kill stuff to get loot. Yes there should be hard levels/modes, and hard content like dungeons, GMs and raids. The purpose is not to see who plays the most AND get the lucky drops that equal the ability to make the right builds. It is not like there are 7 or 8 wepaon perks there are dozens and dozens. The perk pool is so large that even playing hours a day you may never get that lucky drop. Focusing on too much of needing the right build has pushed a ton of average players away form the game. We just can't dedicate the hours of time a day to get that lucky roll. Quarter after quarter of missed revenue goals, poor design choices and poor story choices has hurt this game. Harder is not always better or the answer to making a game fun. Always the best players find a loop hole the devs do not see and can do unexpected things. Trying to design the game for those players has had a devastating affect on the rest of the player base. I do not want to try mid level content designed so it is a mild challenge for them but too hard for me. I can't even contemplate doing the hardest content. Fun, Engaging game play is the answer. Not so much the right this or that. At least before I had very small but possible chance of landing that great piece of armor or gear. The new system with difficulty level and timed scores to get the best gear. I will never see another good roll. I can do some things albeit slower than the best players, but given time I will get it done. Now that everything is time based, there is zero point, I am not skilled or geared well enough to do stuff and do it fast.

You kill things to get loot and try to get the best loot to do certain activities easier or to be able to just complete the harder difficulties or to complete them faster. Most other looters have the power intrinsically on the weapon itself or within character perk trees. I don't know the solution to Destiny's problem but its very obvious that it was a system that wasn't designed to run for 9+ years. Replacing crafting with enhancement + weapon reworking at level 200 would be a more fair system where getting lucky can help significantly but if you aren't getting lucky you can rework the weapon to your liking with a bit of investment. Having a good build will always trump not having one, as for dedicating time they just need to drop more loot. RNG isn't as big of an issue if you are showered in rewards with some at least being some sort of guarantee/focused drops. I honestly fully believe that most players in this game just suck and thats a fact. Doesn't mean they should be gatekept from the game entirely but it seems Bungie is trying to at least put more options in for people so they can find a lane of difficulty they find comfortable and play there. Not every player will always get the best stuff if they don't play the hardest content or all the content though.
Fun, Engaging game play is the answer. Not so much the right this or that. You essentially get 2 options, either you get so powerful you steam roll everything like an ARPG where the gameplay is as engaging as eating your own snot or the developer holds you around certain areas of power so that they can maintain some form of challenge. I personally think they should go the ARPG route considering the changes in EoF would make for an incredibly fun seasonal progression of starting weak then deleting everything by the end before going back to the beginning. The new reward system I think they should remove the timer though the timer is just for a score bonus, interestingly enough I found out that the reward forecast is just that a forecast as you can actually over perform and get better rewards than what was estimated you'd get. They actually show this in one of the dev streams where they were predicted to get T2 but got enough score from kills that they recieved T3 loot instead. I think though they have guarantees for higher tier loot without relying on the portal reward system, so I think most players will eventually see T4-T5 gear but it might take a bit longer than people really slamming out the portal system.

I agree. I was hoping we’d get a new subclass, since we didn’t really get one last expansion. I’m not really counting prismatic, cause it wasn’t a new element. -
I would have honestly settled for more aspects, nades, and melees for subclasses that need them.

Another void melee for Hunter would be nice, SINCE WE ONLY HAVE ONE AND IT HAS BEEN NERFED TO KINGDOM COME. -
Same for warlock. I don't care how much they buff pocket fart. Just give me back my damn atomic breach melee.
-
What if we got a Jeff the shark like AOE attack..... Just turn into a ball of void instead of lightning (since we know Bungie loves to reskin) and then make the witherhoard blight AOE purple and then u explode out and push people away who didn't die from it (which wouldn't be many)
-
Could be cool, but that sounds more like an aspect than a regular melee.

I meant for new supers lol I totally agree with your melee notion Thus why I didn't even say anything about that lol There's plenty of powerful melees in the game now. (Me being through all the handheld novas and breech debacles I was so strongly against back then) I say it's time to bring it back lol (Cuz I 🦆 so hard with voidlock now)
