Whoever is telling you bullet sponge bosses and wave after wave of critters makes a game more fun for the player.
STOP listening to them.

Content creators and that’s it, if anyone says different they are a liar or extremely naive. Also, whenever bungie says they are having a summit with members of the community all they are doing is asking streamers for their approval of the new content. They could give two shits what the average gamer thinks.

Management and streamers mostly it seems. -
They literally said in one of their latest articles that they are flying out more members of the community "streamers" to give feedback. So that is who they listen too and that's how it will always be until this game is dead. Which seems soon

Edited by xbroggiex: 12/13/2024 5:28:34 PMConsidering they put contest on dungeons and doing races for them... streamers. Destiny is and will never be a genuinely challenging game. They cheapen the experience of the shooter by introducing power deficits making your guns weaker and taking longer to kill making the experience a drag and certain perks basically useless mostly kill based ones like Rampage, but what has happened since then? People now just rely on ability spam to do most of the work for them instead of the weapons. The enemies aren't unique enough in attack patterns or abilities to truly make destiny an action shooter that has any depth its mostly just throw everything you have until the enemy infront of you is dead. Raising the health and damage doesn't suddenly make a dreg or a vandal or a hive knight suddenly an interesting enemy they will still do the same things that 90% of the enemies in this game do... Shoot, throw grenade and side dodge. Bungie has powercrept survivability and healing to account for the ridiculous power deficits that you are pretty much under some form of healing 70% of the time in combat(making healing almost mandatory in most high end content especially solo). Its only since about Lightfall that players are actually able to play more aggressively in GMs(because of resilience DR and healing effects) without having to rely on just sitting at the back and plinking because thats what happens when the game is "too difficult" it becomes a crap combat experience where people opt for cheeses and plinking than engaging with the game in good faith because why would they? As for boss health in dungeons specifically its getting too high to engage your average player that is just jumping into Destiny 2. Dungeons should be a sort of point between a strike and a raid, and by that I mean raid like mechanics with strike level difficulty meaning you should be able to reliably complete it in a reasonable amount of time with relatively nooby gear. They are not raids and do not need to scale to that level. The game needs more variation through modifiers that positively engage the player in combat that makes the flow change in fun ways and not boring ways like Counterfeit where you stop to shoot a bunch of ammo bricks or be cautious around them as if that is engaging you in a meaningful way other than slowing you down. The only interesting idea Bungie have had in the last year for the combat flow is the enemy affix banes and that is it.

Suits and streamers. I’m confident the devs know they put stuff in the game that doesn’t resonate with the average guardian.

Since into the light with the everything has to be "more Challenging" attitude, they game has been this way and will be this way until there is a major shift at the top of the company. Just saying they are not listening to the average player, have not and will not be listening to us until the proverbial fat lady sings.

The soy bunch- datto etc. The crowd that said bring the challenge back to destiny.

The youtubers not us normal ordinary people.

Probably streamers as usual.

It always been streamers. :/ Almost every nerf to guns or skills it's because, and i quote: "Makes the game too easy"

I don’t even think they are listening to streamers. I think they are just doing what they want

Paid streamers who get free exclusives like free content early access. Think about companies who make video games and they don't listen to streamers those games actually strive... My opinion is bungee is a company where they listen to streamers, but they Don't Want To acknowledge the fact that streamers Only Care about creating Content because they are a Content creators ;they Don't Care about the State of The Game they Don't Care about the community they Only Care how Fast they can make Content and make Money.

People like Datto and Chablo. They love to make videos about long -blam!- GMs and how exciting is to chip away the hp of a red bar from 1000 yards because otherwise, you will be one tap by all the random mobs spawning on you. Ins't fun?
-
it's pretty obvious they only listen to their analytics teams this is now the C team 9-5'ers looking for short term bonuses and their next job, long term health of the IP is not their concern. Extracting maximum money from the 'consumer blob' is of utmost importance. they have no internal goal of 'entertain our players', just 'engagement'

They don't hear us..

Probably no-one. They see elite players post a video of clearing a full flawless dungeon run and assume most people have the ability to do that. So they ramp it up to challenge the players that make their game look easy. The funny part is, I watch videos to get tips on strats and loadouts and I see these guys on PC tend to have enemies with much lower agro. I'm on console and tend to be getting shot at from all angles and my priority is trying to stay alive while some guys stroll around the boss arena like they live there. So I installed the game on my PC and I can confirm it is far easier for PC players. I just cannot justify buying everything again on Steam to keep playing on PC.

Maybe try listening to some of the 90% who have jogged on since June ?? Just a thought.

Nobody is asking for a free lunch.. Just a lunch that dosen`t make you frustrated and angry every time you play...and if you`ve been invested in this game for 10+ years, you`re gonna play..because, like me, you`ve become addicted. You`ve played for so long, it`s become personal..almost like a family member.

Streamers.. One group that dictates and exposes glitches and suggests nerfs One group that hypes lackluster content and combos for different builds. They ( bungie ) have a huge PR campaign going, and people seemingly don't believe a billion dollar industry would never invest in that. P.S.. they also have a group on the forums.. Why wouldn't any company this big allocate resources on PR. ?

There were so many amazing games I ignored while feeding all my time into Destiny 2. I even ran 2 other accounts to enjoy the good stuff again. But I've been going back into other games the last few months and I'm enjoying it far more than what they've turned this game into. I miss what it used to be, even though that could have even been a lot better. It would take a major revamp for me to come back at this point, they seem to keep pushing even harder on what I didn't like.

brother you use blue guns, double primaries, no add clear perks, swords, and machine guns. you arent ever going to do damage to bosses or add clear in anything other than patrols not called neomuna.
