Agreed, they can't use the PvP transparency excuse because you can't tell just by looking at it what it does like traditional Exotics

Absolutely, most people identify the actual gear of the opponents through the character menus anyway.

It was never a reasonable excuse. I don't think many people would be able to identify every exotics and all their ornaments. It was a cash grab pure and simple.
