Maybe, but if we ever lose our powers like in the red war and we had nanotechnology, vex networks or even mind powers that don’t rely on light or dark we could stand a chance

What about better abilities ? , what if we encountered an anti-paracausal force that suppressed both light and dark , what if we had to remake the witness to fight it ? Destiny needs something new and not just the same 2 forces

Dark and Light can evolve and do new things. That’s really the only option. What can top them when they are the literal manifestation of the laws defining existence? And I think that’s the whole point of the Valence, to show the two powers merging and making new powers. I mean honestly? Our allies. What’s the narrative point of copying their abilities? That removes any usefulness they can provide, doesn’t it? New powers won’t save Destiny. I mean look at how many years Light alone carried it. It needs content. Wholly new content. Not dragged out decade long stories most people don’t even care about. It needs a story that makes sense, doesn’t rely on word salad and actually explores the mysteries of the universe. New places, new people. But they can’t make that with the crew they have. And judging by how Sony is acting, if Frontiers falls below projections, that’ll be it for Bungie. Sony owns their engine, they can farm out a reboot sequel to anyone. So…there really isn’t anything the can be done. Bungie made this bed and they can lie in it.
