Restoration is way better. It heals continuously even while taking damage. Void over-shield have only 45HP but are okay in low end stuff but break very quickly in anything expert and up in my experience.

I've seen several ppl mention the overshield breaking, but considering you only have it for 5 secs anyway isn't the 50% DR useful to basically get out of sticky situations & find cover once you realize you're taking heavy damage vs hoping your health regen is higher than the incoming damage with restoration?

Just go run try out both builds. To me the overshield feels way weaker. Let me give you an example. I main a Titan. If I run loralay splendor and pop my barricade to start restoration I can tank way more than when I pop my void bastion barricade to get constant regenerating overshield.

So I have actually tried both, and Restoration feels weaker... but the problem might actually be, in a chaotic situation I can't actually tell when, if, or how long I have Restoration up. If I see my character's hands go purple then I know the void overshield is there & from that I can decide if I should go into cover or not. But as a Prismatic Warlock running devour, radiant, amplified & whatever else proc'd the Restoration tag may not even show up so I'm basically just hoping I don't take too much damage while moving around

Edited by jhermannITJ: 7/19/2024 5:54:21 PMI got you. So Prismatic Warlock and you want to be as tanky as possible. Do you have Getaway Artist? I can help you create a kit that's near invincible. It doesn't matter what super you use... any weapons. You just need Galvanic Armor, Getaway, the storm nade, and Devour. That's the basics.
