Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific. There has also been an increase in bans due to Network Manipulation. These are usually caused by you or a member of your pre-made fireteam doing something... less than honorable behind the scenes of your matches. If it was not you, then it was a member of your team and Bungie has no real way to determine how much or little you knew about the player who was doing it, but it should have been obvious is that something fishy was going on. One of the biggest indicators of network manipulation and the largest red flag to bail out of your team is when your enemy loses 1 or more players in numerous matches. This is the alarm to save your account and bail out of the team If you believe the ban was placed in error, feel free to submit an appeal on this Page. Please read all the info on the page before submitting the form at the bottom. Keep in mind…Bungie rarely will send you a reply unless your ban is overturned. So if more than a few days have passed without a reply, then the answer is no, and the ban will stand. • Since Bans are manually reviewed before being placed, the actual cause of the ban could have been any play session over the past few weeks. • If you received a Weasel error before the ban, this was due to the ban being placed. The game uses the weasel code to remove you from the game world. • Players are responsible for their online account and gaming hardware, and any actions taken in the world of Destiny, and should be careful of who they allow to access their Destiny account. • It is not necessary for a fraud attempt to be successful to get an account lockout. Just trying, whether successful or not, will be punished. • Considering this is a brand new steam account probably something running on you pc got flagged. So like iRambL said if you can post EVERYTHING that was running while you were on Destiny we could probably figure it out.

 • List what you run in the background if you want an idea of why you were banned

 • That’s why. Cheat engine is not supposed to be on while playing even if it’s not directly targeting the game. Your account is most likely done forever

 • Ah that cheat engine is your problem, if Bungie detects anything running, even in the background, you're donezo.

 • AFAIK they can detect anything running in the background, that's how lots of people get banned.

 • Yeah, I'm really sorry man. I actually just got banned too, I think my PSN account got hacked which caused it. I feel your pain.

 • I made a forum post about it already, TLDR my Bungie account gave me a notification that my settings had been changed randomly, so I changed passwords and everything and called it good. Then I saw Cross save was enabled and there was a steam account named "------------------" now linked, and I can't remove it.

 • See the important thing you glazed over, was did you actually get hacked, or did you get a recovery. Too many people come here claiming they were "hacked", when they actually weren't.
